Lol, right now we're about at a foot of snow. I kind of wish it would just stop because I have errands to run; ah well lol.

We got less than an inch, Candeh, it didn't even cover the grass completely.

Jeeeezzzzz .... what is up with people like that? I have friends who say, we're going to get 2 feet of snow and then I watch the news and it's calling for that much in the Appalacians, not in DC !!!!

You're in Arlington .. you got less than an inch of snow .. not a foot.

Huge fucking difference

I don't live in Arlington lol. I'm in Fairfax. And I'm not there either. I'm 3 hours down south with my mother because I went home for a couple of weeks. We've got over a foot here, which is ironic considering we're by the water and NOVA has nothing...

Only maybe 4" in my neck of the woods... people get all weird over a little snow!! There is no one on the road, flights are canceled out of Philly and they canceled the Eagles game to boot! *smh*

Lol, in my area, people freak out over 2 inches. I remember getting 2 or 3 snow days for something like that; also VA doesn't know how to handle snow at all.

Sucks that they cancelled the game! Who were they set to play? (Although, I've been kind of getting on the Eagles since I'm a Redskins fan and we've duked it out more than once... lol).

@Candeh-- You are in Southeast Virginia(Mom's), right? You guys got over a foot/ Up here in Jersey, my area got 30" Yikes!!!

The December 2010 North American blizzard was a major nor'easter and blizzard affecting the United States of America from portions of North Carolina to Maine on December 26—27, 2010. It is the first significant winter storm of the 2010-2011 winter season and the fourth overall North American blizzard of 2010. The storm affected the northeast megalopolis which includes major populated cities such as Norfolk, Philadelphia, New York City, Hartford, Providence, and Boston. The storm brought between 12 inches (30 cm) to 32 inches (81 cm) of snow in many of these areas.

WCAU-TV in Philadelphia forecast a snowfall of between 10 inches (25 cm) and 20 inches (51 cm) in Philadelphia itself (which received 12.2 inches (31 cm)), while nearby Trenton, New Jersey and parts of southern New Jersey were expected to receive snowfalls of 20 inches or more. Wind gusts were expected to reach between 40 miles per hour (64 km/h) and 50 miles per hour (80 km/h).[3] Areas in eastern North Carolina and south eastern Virginia have seen upwards of 12 inches (30 cm) of snow.

Yep, that's where I am right now! Southeast Va. And I know, it's just that over a foot of snow is rare here because it's a lot warmer than other places in Va. This snow was nothing compared to the snow we got in Northern Virginia last year during the two blizzards we had which got us up to like 3 feet of snow. But, I heard about Jersey! A few of my friends were in Jersey for the holidays and I heard how bad it got. The wind was definitely the worst part, though. Without it, the snowfall or even driving would have been fine. There were a lot of cars that got stranded and people spinning out and such.

Ok, seriously? I think it may just be Armageddon out there. 😢

I hate Shoprite on snow days!!! Also, all the stupid people still driving and getting stuck, leaving the roads blocked and making it worse! Ugh...

Hehe...yup! We're both experiencing the same kind of maniacs in NJ! I didn't even know a snowstorm was coming until it started snowing. Wind drifts had the snow up to my waist!

Nah. My mother is American as is my father. My mother worked at the Embassy for a few years hence why I was in Germany. My extended family is from Europe, though.
