If the big cable companies get their way, say goodbye to net neutrality, because they'll be able to charge different websites arbitrary fees to stay live (this is different from hosting expenses that already exist), and slow speeds or even shut down if websites don't pay up.
It's exactly like having gangs/the mob charging mom and pop stores "protection" in order to not be forced out of business.
