I once heard someone say "The Older You Get, The Less You Care"

Now that im 41yrs old, I think i can really relate to that!!
I dont mean I "Dont Care" about anyone or anything - I mean stuff that used to worry me or irritate me when i was younger doesnt mean anything to me these days, ive kinda chilled out.
Not that 41yrs is over the hill by any means...
Its kinda hard to explain
Maybe its the Cappy in me, I was always a worrier about anything and everything when i was growing up
Nowadays, to put it in a nutshell "I dont give a f**k"
Wherea's I used to hate being tall (6'4'), now, I love it, it gets me noticed and thats another thing!!!
I enjoy being noticed when, growing up, I was the shyest one, always just wanted to blend into the crowd
and go unnoticed.

Now that ive confused everyone...

Have A Great Day 🙂

I agree, as I get older I am less self-conscious about certain things and don't necessarily care what people think.

I think this holds true for most people and I can think of a couple general examples that I suspect are universal (of course, I may be wrong).

A young adult male buying condoms or a young adult female buying feminine products (or vice-versa) - I think we generally get over being self-conscious about such purchases.

But, it is still all relative, if I (being in my 30s) had to buy Depends (adult diapers) for myself I would probably feel really self-conscious, but I would venture to guess that if I need them at 80 I won't give a rat's ass who sees me buying them!

I'm with you Dogs! At 38 I don't give a flying f u c k what people think... outside of my loved ones of course... but then I find that they don't care what I do anyway as long as I'm happy. I do what I want, when I want, how I want within my own moral code. Screw everyone else if they don't like it... they don't have to live with me.

But, in saying all of that, I'm a very caring and loving person, so most of what I do is usually within reason and totally respectful of my friends and family's feelings. I tend to be very accepting of peoples flaws so maybe they just return the courtesy!
