How do I do some of the things you people do

on these threads?

I copy and paste a portion of someones input and then make a comment on it but you guys have found a way to put it in a box...how do I do that?

I cant get certain text in BOLD and have noticed some other people haven't figured it either so I'm not just dumb!! lol

I can get some smilies up but some of you have action smilies etc Can I get them—

Is there any other useful cool things I can do here?
