I think in any situation it's safe to say sooner or later the shit may hit the proverbial fan. And when it does and others find out it has panic is sure to ensure. From this there will be two options. I want to know if you honestly think it's best to tell people the honest truth that a damn asteroid is falling out of the sky and we may all die (To which this option will definitely ensure panic but at least you won't go down a liar in the history books). Or is it best to tell people what they want to hear, and that is be told that everything will be alright and that we won't all die because we're going to do something to save ourselves from being destroyed by an asteroid but we need people to be calm about this? I thought this up after watching Chicken Run a long time ago and the situation held here was similar to what was in the movie.

I guess what I would wonder is....why would you tell me that and why would you get upset if I still decided to go to starbucks after work instead of running home and building a bunker? 😛

Nah. I wouldn't be upset. Personally I don't what you do with your life, I'm just assuring those who do panic out that something will be done. Hell I'll be at home sipping Earl Grey watching the video feed of the asteroid being taken out and watching a beautiful and deadly meteor shower at the same time.
