Just wanted to create a topic so that we can all vent, discuss and complain about our working day being overworked and underpaid. Who knows maybe dxpnet members can offer advice to one another along the way.
I start with what I have experienced at work. Few months back I had a work colleague who was pregnant and was going to be on maternity leave. Great to work with just a shame that they will leave to have a baby and maybe come back when she is ready.
So before she leaves she trains up a young assistant so that the company now has two people within the department. Woman goes on maternity leave, leaving the department with only one person.
Fast forward a few months later and this person is looking to leave the company due to not getting the support they need from their bosses, as well as being underpaid and overworked. The young assistant has suggested the company could improve their procedures and processes and make things more efficiency thus reducing stress and workload, but no one is interested.
My department will be screwed if they leave and I have no say in telling their boss to provide extra support to help their department.
My management has been in derpy fuck mode since the beginning of the year. I have no idea wtf has changed. I know our company has grown WAY too fast in the last two years and I have a feeling they're reeling with all the varying factors in additional costs with expanding so fast. So I dunno if corporate is putting pressure on everyone to improve numbers or what. I know across the board, restaurants have been struggling with quarterly earnings this year, so I have a feeling our GM may be in panic mode because his bonuses are at risk.
But it's that, combined with some seriously piss poor decision making by our other managers. I'm not sure if he's aware or not, because he's kind of a space cadet and it's not until you tell him outright that he's like oh wtf and will fix it. He's all about a smooth running restaurant, so I don't think he's entirely to blame. He's always asking for feedback when something changes and wants input on how it could be made better.
I may sit down with him when he's free and just address overall concerns because I do like this company a lot, but I do not like how I'm starting to see ish reminiscent of the old job which was a pos shit show who's likely going to be shutting down sometime in the near future.
I don't see that happening with this company anytime soon, but it's starting that backslide that I saw with the old job and it's rather concerning. :/

In my field of work, people in my position are pretty inaccessible. You have to go through several middlemen before communicating with me.
With that said, there was a particular person whose work I was so impressed with, that I offered to meet with hi
I ran into my ex a few days ago and. Pa he's the first friend in my ppl you should know. His number or email has never been saved in my phone. Does this mean he creeped me?
