based upon the video, if i had to make an educated guess about how it went into the right wing aerodynamic stall, i would say as the plane was trying to climb, the cargo shifted to the rear. then you can see the plane was going to the left first. i think the pilots tried to level out the 747 by going to the right but over compensated or the cargo shifted to the right as they were trying to level it out. the alarms were going off in the cockpit with the stick shaker, stall warning, ground proximity warning.

either that or the shifting cargo severed a bunch of control lines.

or something else

from what is known, there wasn't much that could of been done because they couldn't get the nose down with the weight shifting to the rear. the engines were probably already at full power for take off and it was 1500 feet off the ground

yea they're probably grilling the load master over and over again. i want to know more about why the chains broke if they did or why the load came loose in the first place. they move this equipment all the time. who knows, they probably used the incorrect or substandard chains

its looks like the crew was in control till the crash. its hard to tell, the plane went from 90 degrees to almost level before it belly slammed

why is cockpit censored?

On Jun 2nd 2013 accident investigators by the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation of Afghanistan reported in a press conference that quickly shifting cargo, consisting of three armored vehicles and two mine sweepers totalling at 80 tons of weight, caused the accident. The cargo slammed so hard at the back of the aircraft, that parts of the aircraft separated and wiring in the back was severed. As result of the shift and loss of aircraft parts the center of gravity moved so far back, that the attitude of the aircraft could no longer be controlled, the nose of the aircraft rose beyond the flying envelope of the aircraft and the aircraft stalled destroying the aircraft and killing all crew in the resulting impact. Parts of the aircraft, that separated as result of the initial load shift, were recovered from the runway. The straps used to tie down the cargo were recovered from the accident site, although charred they provided evidence of having fractured before final impact, it was unclear however, whether the fracture(s) had happened before or after takeoff.

Statement from National Air Cargo Regarding Flight NCR102 Investigation
June 4, 2013

Despite news coverage that appears to indicate otherwise, the investigation into the crash of flight NCR102 remains active and no conclusions have been made as to a cause. We have been advised by Mr. Mohammad Afzal Ramzi, an Air Worthiness Inspector and Board Member of the Afghan Aviation Safety & Operation Board, that the investigation remains open at this time with no timeline for completion.

National Air Cargo is continuing its support of the investigation and will not speculate on any possible cause of the accident. We remain hopeful the cause will be determined through a thorough investigation of all the facts involved.
