has there been a movie with this plot?

a girl/guy has strange dreams which are premonitions of some murder that she ends up witnessing eventually. then she dreams of a murder and tries to save the person that is murdered in her dreams by warning trying to warn the person about the killer and the murder that could happen etc. she couldn't save the person but she continues tracking down the killer and keeps having premonitions

ends with the killer somehow being her friend/ boyfriend and he tries to get her but she calls the cops on him just in time.

has there been a movie like this? entirely based on dreams becoming premonitions
