The difference being that if you take yourself seriously, you are the latter.
2chainz knows he's a gimmick and has admitted it openly but that's the major reason his fans like him.
He's not shooting for a grammy, he just wants to while out like his fan base does and that's fine imo.
As for Lil Wayne, that is why he fell off imo when Drake came up.
His formula is ALL word play. Just one right after the other and its cool in a way that his mind works like that but it's too redundant for him to stay relevant. Again, he's Wayne, so he'll always be there but I don't think he's totally shocked anyone lately.

Haha ughh he issss, he's one of my guilty pleasures. But ya exactly, he owns up to it and he has fun. Personally, Lil Wayne was never all that as a rapper. But like you said he's too redundant to stay relevant and he's a cocky mofo so it's like double the annoyance. If you are going to be full of yourself make sure you can back it up, like my husband, Drake lol jk.
