Are we the most understood sign—
I think water signs in general are going to be more hard to understand given our moody natures.
You know well that Scorps are confusing 😉
I don't try to understand my fellow water signs due to having a leg up on knowing how we tend to work. Alot of times I'm not sure if we want to be understood. Alot of time I don't think WE understand us. 😛
Being fixed I either just try to except or NOT except them and be done with it.

Okay this is my take ....
When people try to identify me as wishy washy ......what they are seeing is someone who is either unstimulated by a circustance or a person ........or if I feel like someone is trying to play me as a fool ....I am done. I also don't like to be controlled. Those are the things that will make me swim away.
When people try to identify me as weak ........They have no idea what I have experienced in life ......or how much I have over come. If they walked a mile in my shoes .....they would think differently. People that know me intimately refer to me as someone who is completely strong and resillant. In a physical sense as well.....I have great endurance in running and almost any sport I attempt, and most of the guys in the gym are impressed with my steadfast dedication to my work outs. I remember I had one potential client as a personal training client and she said she could not work with me because I was too nice and she needed someone to push her. I told her that was fine there was a trainer for every trainee and it was okay. In the back of my mind I was thinking .....well not sure I want to work with someone who needs to be pushed that hard. She is not serious about her fitness program. I would rather work with clients who has surrendered and is really ready and hungry to change their life. That is the person that is ready for my training. Don't get me wrong there is no forgiveness if they miss a workout with me or totally blow their diet. I just don't want to be on someone's ass to get to the gym or to work harder. I push people to their capabilities not past them. I am not here to injure or make someone hate fitness.
When people say I am too emo .......I am glad to have the sensitivity because what comes with that is great compassion people.
When people say I live in dreamland .......I just smile sure ......that is what the enfamous 'The Secret' was all about.....manifesting our dreams and thoughts into reality. So cannot be all that bad right??

I've learned the hard way that unless people put themselves in your shoes they aren't going to understand where you are coming from or how you feel. I gave up a long time ago wanting people to understand even a little bit how *I* feel. It just plain sucks when they don't so...... I no longer feel the need to justify my thoughts or feelings to anyone. 😛
But that could be the Scorpio take it or leave it coming out in me. I DO feel that Pisces and Cancers probably want to be more understood then a Scorpio because I don't think Scorpio really cares what others think. 😛 We're not nice like that sometimes. 😄
I guess the reason for this post is my cap friend and I have been talking ......he just does not get me. I have no idea why and how we are friends because I feel like I have to always explain myself to him. It is almost like he is intrigued by our friendship because of the difference. Don't get me wrong I do care for my cap friend but sometimes I blantly find him annoying. i.e. I journal ....he says I don't get why people do that. (argghhhh so annoying) So I have to explain to him it is for "ME" to help document where I have been, where I am going, and what has happened .....a simple reflection of myself so I can strive to become better and more resolute in all I do. It just made me realize how annoying it is to have people who don't understand me.
I also find on these boards that pisces get bashed a lot ....put down ....or made fun of.

What is more important ? (1) People (and mostly strangers) trying to tell you who you are

Definately number 2 Hypnotic. As I state above ...it just gets annoying to have to justify or explain why I do what I do or who I am.

I keep a journal too. And I totally understand what you are saying about why we feel the need to keep it. It can be a huge relief to write down something you can't explain to others.

My perspective is wishy-washy, but that is not to be taken in a negative way... it just seems that when asking a direct question it's hard to get a direct answer and the answer you get leaves one (a Cap anyway) confused at times - and the fish may consider themselves answering accordingly, but it's not the type of response expected.
I would have to agree with The Queer (damn I love that word, and bastard)
PP has it right ...... we live in the real world, everyone else lives in fantasy because we can actually acknowledge the energy of intention that everybody else is oblivious to.
A person will react/respond in life to people and situations and not know why ... even if asked why, they don't know, they respond to an energy which manipulates their perspective, and just react to it. They think it's really them making a decision of free-will .... actually, it was an energy pulse that subconsiously drove them in a certain direction.
A Pisces person percieves the energy, to feel the emotion behind the impulse = the real intention, no matter how blinded the other is to the real reality of our life force.
For the fact that other people cannot comprehend this isn't a detriment to me, it's not a liability ..... it's an asset to me, I am and I know I am, so what difference does it make to me if they don't know that I am. That doesn't change what I know.

Thanks for allowing to me to vent ....I think that was the purpose of this thread. The pisces I know really don't give a flying **** what the world or any one thinks of us. I have just been a little annoyed with cap friend as of lately. He is like an annoying kid who always ask ....well why— ....well why?? He makes me want to bang my head on the table sometimes. As for Capricorn knowing about astrology........I dunno. I had a conversation with him last night and he is asking what I am interested in blah blah. Okay I have known this Capricorn since 2006, you would think by three years now he would know this stuff. I have come to the conclusion ....all these years ....this man has NEVER heard me once. He really does not know me at all. He is fishing for common ground for us ......and really we don't have a damn thing in common. It made me realize the depth of his friendship .......it lies on the surface. He asked me .....so what do you do for fun— He knows I am workout maniac, I am going to massage school, I am a health nut, I am wine drinker, politically active, ........are you kidding me—? He says well do you sew— I was like WTF— I am not Suzie homemaker. OMG .....I told him ....look if you don't know what I like to do for fun than you definately don't know me. Do I sew—? What the hell is that kind of question— Honestly ......I feel like the last three years I have been talking to a man who is head in deer lights. Makes me believe that all he has listened to is what benefited him ....and had no interest in who I am as a person. He notices how attractive I am ........Do I sew—— pfffff I am just disappointed he shows no value in me as his friend.

Meh, I don't see why dreaming could be necessarily a bad thing. The best ideas come from dreams. I guess it's the point where dreaming becomes a priority over realism -- where the problem lies. I haven't seen many older Pisces (i.e. between the ages of 20 and up) that have this problem because they've accepted that they must look at practical matters -- not just the fantasy. It all comes down to maturity mostly, but this doesn't exclude older people from living in la la land either -- I've just been fortunate enough not to meet them. xD
As for your question. From my own experiences, Pisces are misunderstood because they choose to be. They clarify when they want.

It IS interesting, because what astrology says is Pisces lives in a dream world. And, just by *coinkydink*, alot of people who've dealth with Pisces will attest to "yeah, they do, escaping into it when things in reality get too real for them."
I dont believe we escape from what is "too real". As a human being our feet are planted, just as most human beings on this earth as well, however, when things do become difficult to deal with or decipher we will simply escape by becoming quiet or possibly taking a nice 2 hour drive into the mountains. If that is "escaping" from the real world and thought of as running from reality, I would have to accuse many other signs of this, not just pisces. I always hated that about astrology- always making us sound like such surrealists.
