Contentment

What is your idea of contentment? At one point in your life did you, or do you see yourself being content with the course your life has taken?

I think contentment comes from accepting things that are out of your control and manuvering around them. There is only ONE aspect about my life I would like to be different but otherwise I am very happy and content with the way things are. The older I get the more I strive for simplicity and appreciate the little things. It is also easier for me to "shake things off" and not worry. I dont want much, I dont need much and I am very thankful for all that I have. Blessed are the meek and humble 🙂

I'm content ... this is a strange question for a Pisces ... we are content just watching the air.

Come on Pisceans. You wouldn't be a Pisces if you were content. But, alas, one can dream right? I may be the only Gemini in the world that truly understands the depth of the emotional Piscean. My girl for two years now could tell it better than I. But, Pisces are the great listeners of the Zodiac. Tis true! They are only content when they are absorbing other peoples problems and emotions. Thus wearing it like a weight on their backs. Which makes them very depressed. You make great audiences. Which is why a lot of you have Leo friends but not Leo lovers. Leo's need an audience. But, to me this isn't being content. Pisces need to BE/FEEL needed. However, I'm not sure if the definition of "Content" is truly applicable. Only a Pisces would create a blog about being content. I think that says something right there. Cheer up Pisceans, you are beautiful! Facta No Verba!

I've surprised many Pisces, Starfish. But, I would agree with you on some things. For instance: We are mental to the extreme. But, with the mind you can control your emotions (Or Try To). Pisceans have lived through many incarnations. But, sometimes they forget the generosity of the Aries, Leo, Gem, Sag. The communication skills of the Gemini. Or the fariness of the Libra. Most Pisceans live in a dreamworld, and will admit that much at least. But, as my girl says: "It takes a deep brother to get me." But, you have to make the effort. That's where a lot of Gems fail (Which is why we are having this dialogue). Or anyone in a relationship for that matter. They aren't willing to do the work. I think you may underestimate most Gems Starfish. You'd be surprised how deep we can swim. I have a Taurus moon. Maybe that has something to do with it. But, you being a Black Woman in the Chi think differently than most women anywhere. Which is a gift. So.....Starfish you are probably a one-of-a-kind Piscean. Read the boards on Pisces. I'm sure you can relate to my assessments.

Definitely true ..... when we dream about other people, which is all the time, we are envisioning taking on their disturbances, for empathetic support.

Very heavy .. but, worth it .. for it will make the other person happy to be free of this emotional burden.

I think contentment for me is where i am now i have just learned to be happy in my own skin and learned to be thankful for what i have and not be afraid to go for what i want...also i am content when i feel my relationships are healthy 🙂

Thus the escapist reputation. But, I'm learning. 😉

hmmmm, not so true for this fish. i really don't feel no more or less compassionate then most. I don't need, desire or look for others problems in the least. I actually avoid all that. Quite the opposite; i'm drawn to and very happy and content with the competent, strong, independent, optimistics of the world, like myself.

I'm not sure if I've ever been content. I feel my thoughts are too all over the place to be.

Thank you for all the responses, this thread stemmed out of curiosity and a cross roads in my life where I cant quite tell what in my life will make me content, I dont have it yet, Im still looking. Something grand is in my future, I just gotta figure it out.
