How to approach a piscies boy

I have him for a class and for lunch. I had him for a class last year too but I never noticed him the way I notice him now. Our eyes always connect but we never talk. My friends catch him staring at me, but I'm in denial. (I have a low self esteem) I was going to finally go up to him and try to talk to him but he's always on his phone with his earphones on. He doesn't talk to a lot of people. He has like two friends. When I was about to go up to him I walked a different way. I'm afraid that he might not want to talk to me. But whe . School ended, he came to my class to turn in an assignment and he walked in front of me, held the door for me waited for me and smiled. How do I approach a conversation with him?

ask him to a spelling bee with you

or The best thing you can do is just tell him hi and get to know him

You'll never know what to talk to him about until u get to know him

Aww, just be friendly, he knows you like him, that's why he opened the door for you, he obviously likes you too.

Ask him about his favorite lessons and tell him about yours, his friends, what does he do outside of school, that sort of thing.

"Than you for holding the door for me, that was very kind of you" would've been a good place to start a lighthearted conversation, if you see him walking on his own, go ask him if he minds if you walk with him,hope you make friends x
