Pisces & Alcohol

My sister once told me that I drink for every emotion i am feeling. When i am happy, when i am sad, when i am just....

I used to think she was crazy but i decided to do an introspection on my daily living and OMG!! she was right.

I have a two male & female pisces friends, pisces cousin and we tend to drink like fishes more than everybody else and mind you we don't mind popping out molla for it either or even driving out to buy when we run out.

Sometimes i wake up with the meanest hangover and tell myself..this is it i am not touching that stuff again. HAAA a few hours later i'm like me did i say that?

PS: i am yet to meet a pisces who does not take alcohol....

please prove me wrong!!!!!!!

Me I only, repeat only drink once in a while. Its no fun if you do it a lot because you'll build up tolerance and have to drink more and more liquor to be drunk. But the times that I drink. I DRINK. Talking about throwing them thangs back getting punished. Then win every drunk arguement that I get into. Cause you know how we shut people up in arguements sober. But when drunk man...

All water signs have a tendency to be self-destructive, whether that be alcohol, drugs, or food. It's sort of a tendency to pay attention to.

Exercise and yoga may help--it really helps me; before that I used to eat emotionally too.

Yeah My Pisces man goes through stages of drinking...When I first met him he was drunk alot more, now it seems as if he rarely drinks...

He is a smoker though...Chief-Chiefa! But then again, so am I....

Maybe water is a bit self-destructive...

My pisces boyfriend is only a social drinker for going out and fun drinking.But yeah,do know other pisces who drink to mask negative emotions as well.Think it depends on how that individual deals with stuff,boyfriend is more likely to play escapism through video games,magic the card game,art,etc.before he would choose to be like his father;an alcohol junkie.Don't know his fathers sign though only his moms a capricorn.

I may also add that the Pisces guy I like drinks a lot (even though he doesn't really get drunk) and usually does it to numb his pain. And his behavior becomes deceiving...At least I figured him out so I know how to distinguish now.

Kafka probably will be the bomb right now sexually,I know how I get when im emotional so she being another scorp it's a good possiablity.Oh yeah kafka,a pisces is one of the more sexual signs(scorpios have to be finessed a bit to get that;a pisces don't need much) so watch out for attracting other ones right now.

And in case you couldn't tell already thier good at the finessing.

hah, I have a Pisces friend that got alkie poisoning and now he's as sober as they come and he's the type to learn from his mistakes.

Hopefully someday those that do drink will find a better outlet since they're so creative.

I have to admit, I do miss the Pisces guy, which shows his impact on me (although logically, it HAS to be over in my head).

And yeah, I love with passion and hate with passion...And I've been feeling more sexual than ever! I hope I don't attract other Pisces ever again. This guy really got me, which is not easy to do (control, right?) What ever happened to the safe Virgos and Cancers? Even a fellow Scorpio would be more predictable and managable at this point.

Yeah because of their duality thing it is a sticky situation. I've had great Pisces girl-friends but when it comes to the guys and romance so far I don't want to completely lay out the cards yet.. 🙂 Same time though, they are so luvable. Scorps are cool though i likey them.

I tend to drink a bit. You wouldn't be Australian if you weren't a beer swilling yobbo. The Australian culture embraces the notion. I have read that Pisces are attracted to substances that help them escape reality and I would have to admit I've been guilty of this in the past.

In my younger days I took a lot of hard drugs, you name it I took it. As long as I could take it with out using a needle, I was up for anything. This all started when I was about 14 and I continued this destructive life style right up until I was 25. I was never addicted to one certain drug except maybe weed but I was definitely addicted to being detached from reality. I guess when turning 25 and having had a few life changing experiences I stop abusing myself and became very conscious of my body and the effects of a bad life style . I now have another addiction, exercise. Well they say we Pisces have addictive natures.

I do still drink a bit though and love to smoke the Budda baby!!!

Yeah,that probably is it,kafka.Wasn't really drawn to my pisces in the beginning,we just had a great connection on alot of levels,he was more of the initiater and aggresser.I don't know why im a pisces magnet,it's not my fault,they just pop up.Always tend to hit it off immediatly and find out thier a pisces later,thats including alot of friendships of both sexes too not just dating or involved with them.The only thing I will say is that I don't even notice them until thier in my face so I think they feel safe or something around me.

Don't think that all your encounters with Pisces will be the same. We fish are all very different. I have four mates who are Pisces and we're all so different you would never think we had the same sign. Just look how different I am to Haffo. Scorps and Pisces have a great connection. One of the best relationships I was ever in was with a Scorp. We could talk for hours without running out of topics or just sit in silence still knowing what each other were thinking. We always knew where the other one was coming from and very rarely argued. We are still good friends today and would probably still be together now if she hadn't cheated on me. But hey, we were young and she was drunk. We split because I had problems trusting her afterward but I wouldn't say I'll never go out with another Scorp again because I would love to feel that connection again.

I guess my point is that you can't just right Pisces off because of one bad experience. If a Fish wants to be with you you'll know about. There will be no games, he will do everything in his power to make you feel loved and you would never find yourself second guessing it. And if we've had to fight hard to get something, we won't let go of it in a hurry. I've read a lot of post on these boards about how f#@ked Pisces men are but the truth is they're all Pisces men who don't really want to be in the situation they're in or don't want to move into things too fast but we get labelled the Jerks because we don't fit into a someone elses plans. Of course every situation should be judged on it's own merit but to every story we hear on these boards from some disgruntled chick there's a Pisces guy out there who probably has a very reasonable explanation for his actions.

I'm sure he has a reasonable explanation...But his actions are still not cool at some level, the whole blog post with "the chick I met on the plane"...That's just rude and piggish. I can totally respect him not being ready if he came out and explained maybe...which he has. But it seems Pisces (it seems, not for sure!) would rather hide the truth or lie, rather than being seen as the jerk/the bad guy. But they end up messing up anyway! That's my impression.

I definitely have a lesson to learn though and your post got me thinking, BJ. And that is to really let this guy go, and let him come to me if he wants. The more I act posessive and aggressive, the more I seem to be pushing him away. Although I'm also sure that someone else out there would appreciate my style too.

Don't worry, I won't write all Pisces types off...I'm just pissed off at this particular one and so far the experience has given me a bad impression--and I'm venting. 70% of what I write is emotions, not rational stuff. So I'm grateful that I have this space here to share, with you compassionate Pisces and others🙂

Exercise addiction huh? 🙂 Now that's something i have to learn to incorporate more often.

Quite easy after the first week,your hooked.Yoga,pallatis and cardio stuff works better for females so you don't end up with a Brittney Spears man bod.

I totally get what your saying. I think what he did to you with the blog was some what rude and even nasty and maybe that was him showing his true colors. All I'm saying is that "Pisces men suck" seems to be the most popular topic around here lately and I guess I'm starting to get a little paranoid. We're not all bad and some of us even go through life trying to correct our mistakes and learning from them. I'm just trying to get a good word out there for me and my Fishboy brothers.

You really don't know how big a problem is until you step out of it. I was never a junky but I was certainly an "Off Tapper". These days I get the same highs in the gym or going for a 5 mile run. Eat well,live well. Healthy body, healthy mind!!

People who think Pisces men suck, should try Aries men. Then they will seek Pisces men like a needle in the hayloft.

Good way to put it haffo,I hate geminis.Did I post that,oh,damn.But at least will say I have meet two gems out of 12 that will keep it in thier pants.Found out it's usually the ones who claim they've been cheated on,who does it.

Come to think of it i drink to numb my pain,i drink to have fun, i drink to just chill with my friends. don't get me wrong i do not drink everyday of my life, three weeks can pass without me touching the stuff.

But when i start drinking maaaan i down them and amazingly i never seem to get stupidily sloshed or loose control even after 132142 glasses of alcohol.

From now on i will strive to minimise my alcohol intake 'cause one day i will wakeup a fully blown alcoholic without me realising it............

(see i am being realistic minimise not stop taking it)

One of the biggest funnest smartest people I know is a alcoholic pisces. God same his liver.

I only drink champagne on special occasions. Never took any drugs what-so-ever. Never smoked. I don't seem to be addicted to anything in particular.

Oh wait maybe water. I go through tons of it a day.

It is not fair to generalize because it depends on the entire Birth chart, life experiences etc... I know some Aries men that are too selfish, but some that are just very energetic but supportive and sympathetic. What I did notice is no matter what background they come from Pisces men all have a sad story from the past or some harsh experiences. Yet, these experiences sometimes make or break their character. Usually it is a great thing to see their future brighten 10 times for the best and they become even stronger than they already are. Got to admire that.

In response to what you said...I don't think it is so much that "Pisces men" have a sad story, I think it is that they don't know how to let go of the hurt from whatever happened, whereas most other signs have an easier time moving on.

I think it is a cop-out to say "oh I had a bad childhood or this bad thing happened to me" so I am going use that as an excuse for the way I treat other people. If I told people the TRUE story of my life which includes living far below the poverty line for a # of years, being burnt over 75% of my body & the kids being wickedly brutal, molestation & rape, etc. I would have PLENTY of excuses to be an ass but I am able to move an and USE the experience to make me a better person.

All in all, I think most would rather wallow in their sorrows and blame the rest of the world while they self destruct...ie alcohol, drugs, sexual misbehavior, etc and most other signs aren't able to deal with that because the pisces is also bringing them down. Not to mention those damn mind games where they turn EVERYTHING around to make them seem like the victim...Nobody is the victim ALL the time...

Good point. However I never implied that others do not have problems of course we all have our memories and troubles. As well, of course if a person treats others with disrespect just because they had a rough time they are just as unfair and cruel. I guess I'm a sucker for these needy fish and I like helping them as much as I can. But if they refuse help or have an attitude issue then it no longer becomes something I can help them with. 🙂 All in all, I completely see what you mean, CL.
And good luck w/ that Pisces guy, they are sometimes a little like kids that just need a little nurturing and unconditional love. VERY unconditional at times 🙂

I'm a sucker for needy people in general! NONE of my friends are "stand on their own two feet" type people. My best friend is SO co-dependent it is RIDICULOUS and he is needy, needy, needy....

I think that's what they call "making love". The whole emotional part of it almost throws you into a different state of consciousness, very different to "having sex".

Not sure if it's like that for everyone else.

Pisces and drinking hmmmm my best friend and I born on the same day we both love to drink and it could be happy drinking or sad. I can't help it when I go out I have no limit and my cancer boyfriend says why do u do this?? or he'll say ok that's your last one and I'll say ok but then still order myself another. I know he gets upset with me at times because he hates when I get so wasted. I don't do this everyday but I can't just go out & have 1 or 2, I always push it as far as I can. I smoke too and I know I should quit but I hate to say how much I enjoy smoking it sounds terrible but it's true I guess if I didn't like it then I wouldn't do it. But back to the drinking I've only met a few fish who didn't drink but may have another addiction. I go out with a group of girls 5 of us are pisces the other 2 are scorps, us fish are on our 3rd or 4th drink and our scorpy friends are still on their 1st. So yes pisces like to party and we can always find a reason to do it!!!

It seems taurus loosens up and pisces isnt scared to open up and share himself with everyone.

I'm pretty much slated to kill of my liver. My Cancer/Taurus wife isn't fond of it, but she's not the one with the job that pulls in the bulk of our money. However it happened, I got a good mind for programming and make pretty good money. I work about 50-60 hours a week and kill my soul, one little piece at a time, each minute I'm there, so I figure if I'm killing my soul to make the money, I ought to spend a little of that money to kill myself and numb that pain, if I feel like it.

I agree about the "zone" statement. It's a whole other level.

Yeah I agree we can be very open worse when we've had a few drinks, we can become weepy or really funny. But I still feel no matter what we hide our darkest secrets or maybe our true selves we can be open but we are never going to tell it all, we like to keep things hidden sometimes not even bad things, We can be so mad at someone and it may take weeks to tell them or we just one day go off at everyone because we kept letting it build up. Hopefully I will never get to the point my liver is in any danger but I do like to go drinking on the weekends. My friends are wild party animal pisces and it's so hard to say no.

I don't drink either! Or, at least, not much - maybe only a couple times a year! But, I do have my addictions!
