I forgot to give my predictions

Since I know nothing about Charlie I'm gonna go with hasan! Easy

I hate to say this but I'm not sure Chelsea h. Can beat tomi lahren in a debate so tomi!

I think Ana(the cancer) can be beat ann mostly cause most of her logic makes no sense to me... Unless the cancer gets emtional (which she sometimes does) and loses her train of thought

Ben Vs cenk is the one I am waiting to see... I don't agree with Ben on a lot of issues but he is a damn good debator. And has left me want to rethink some of my own ideology... So he can change minds and cenk is a power house.. He is not afriad. To give it too you straight

Looks like another cog in the echo chamber outrage machine.
— Can you be more specific... You don't think the panel is well balanced?
Oh it's balanced...but does it matter if you're balancing equal sizes piles of horse shit?

None of these people are qualified to do more whip their sycophantic base into frothing at the mouth.

No problems will be solved.

No solutions will be created.

No compromises will be made.

But sure as shit there will be plenty of clickbait next day with "Watch X destroy Y in Last Night's Debate" headlines.

Oh and plenty of snarky Tweets and memes to last for days.

Your right nothing will be changed from this politicon.. Policy wise... Cause these people don't have any real power... But I think it's important for both sides to show up and challenge the others views of thinking... I like learning from the other party... I like being open to new ideas and thought processes hopefully people can learn something they didn't already know... Yea?

Wow, those look good! Is this a free online event or what?
It's an event in CA on July 29, 30 ..im not sure of the admissions price but I know it all will be filmed and post online for free anyway 🙂 I can't wait... So who do you think will beat who?

Depends on what's being debated. If Shapiro can keep from being whiny, I think he'll do well.

If Coulter can stick to constitutionalism and not get too snarky, she will wipe the floor with her opponent.

I think Toni and Chelsea are well matched, I don't know quite how seasoned Toni is though. I've not been too impressed with her so far. She makes good points but needs more practice basing her argument on actual facts and not feelings.

Maybe in slight ways, sure.

I can always see the other side's point but I'll rarely ever agree with it. Or if I do, it's an evolution over years. One debate doesn't change it.

Debates are great for fine tuning your beliefs, but you'll rarely see anyone who's really solid in their beliefs switch. "sides". The people who

are likely to switch generally aren't ones who watch debates (unfortunately).

A perfect example is the economy and the recession/recovery cycle.

Side A is like "President So and So crashed the economy!" Side B is like "Yeah but our President So and So created 40 Billion new jobs in a month and the economy is better than ever".

Meanwhile economists are like "LOL presidents don't affect the economy. Look at history."

History has shown that presidents and their respective political party have little or no effect on the economy. The economy does what it wants.

I remember her interview with Trevor Noah. It was a complete fail.

When she is met with facts, she completely falls apart and resorts to name calling.

IMHO, that's not entirely accurate. Governmental policy can affect the flow of capital. Over-taxation and over-regulation in the US for example, results in multinational corporations parking their money offshore.

It (taxation and regulation)acts as a brake and can pull capital out of the economic cycle where it would otherwise be invested.

It also creates barriers to to entry for competition-there is a reason for the term "crony capitalism", and also why Missouri at one time (not sure if it still does) had all kinds of goofy laws relating to alcohol and it's distribution (think Anhueser-Busch).

That may be true on some level, but when you go back and look at the growth and recession history since the founding of the country, there is no pattern that can be attributed to political party of the president or legislature.

There are still debates with respect to FDR and his programs re: the Depression. The intersting bit in the article is about the National Industrial Recovery Act.

Exactly.
I don't see that. Western civilization and structure is built on debates and socratic methodology, it's not meant for action but for strengthen or changing mindsets/POV's for better day to day action due to a sharpened mind.

Without discussion, we are no better than a propaganda pushing machine with agendas for identities.

You are right. But frankly I don't see any of that happening with the people that they picked.

OK so I have been watching some of the debates and I will post them here later

From the debates I have watched

Ann vs Ana

Winner

Ana kasperian!!!

You guys I was so proud of her...if you don't watch or know who Ana is.. She is a double cancer that works for the young Turks she reallllllllly cares and it can cause her to blow her stack and be emotional sometimes but she kept her cool and stuck to the facts and won that debate! *so side note on that ...the mediator was crazy baised on a liberal side 😆* but Ana still held her own!

So

Ben vs cenk

Ben shapiero(I know that's not spelled right 😆)

It hurts my heart to say this but i think Ben won

I don't agree with his points like even a little bit

But

He was the one driving the convo

He was the one quickly responding to every point and then counter punching with his on points

Cenk was arguing like a centerist which he isn't supposed to be he is supposed to be a progressive?
