Yeah, my first love lied about everything. Invented a sibling. Invented a previous girlfriend because he didn't want to tell me he was a virgin. Invented where he had lived and what happened there before moving to my town. I learned all this while sitting in a waiting room with his parents after he was committed to a psyche ward. Good times.
did he have borderline personality disorder?
bipolar?
Ex husband. I divorced him. Couldn’t believe anything he said..
did the lies start before the marriage? and if so did you realize this before you agreed to marry him?
were you in denial about it?

Yes, the image of him before marriage was a complete lie. I didnt get it. After marriage, I found out who he really was. Short marriage 2 1/2 years.. I started threatening to leave at 6 months though. Tried for 2 years.. then left & didn’t look back.

i feel like that's common
people try to put their best foot forward before marriage so they lie to hide who they really are.
but I think there are those that just lie because it's literally who they are
they lie to everyone about everything
not just to the people you are dating

I don't know. If he got a diagnosis, no one ever told me what it was. I wouldn't be surprised if he's borderline. Last time I knew of his whereabouts, he hadn't changed. Dishonorably discharged from the Marines, babies with different baby mamas scattered around the country, etc.

Yes I did befriend a lying, cheating, jealous Sagittarius sun/mars with a Scorpio moon/venus, which I discovered later, of course. But, I cut all ties afterwards. She thought she was the greatest friend ever. I feel sorry for her Aquarius boyfriend who she manipulated into leaving his childhood sweetheart. Actually I don't, if he really loved her he wouldn't have left in the first place.
Anyway, we had a major stand off when I was sick of her lies. She started swearing and tried to get physical. I told her very calmly but firmly not to touch me. The thing is, you can never win with liars. This what I had accepted before, during and after the confrontation. As for the Taurus male friend who chose to be on her side, I cut him loose from my life also. I don't owe anyone any explanations. Besides, everyone eventually saw her true colors.
I guess such behavior stems from a deep sense of insecurity and a lack of self-respect.

Just realized this girl lied to me about so many things...and i still have no clue as to why?
mental illness?
substance abuse problem?
low self-esteem?
i don't understand.
has anyone been in the same position? did you confront the person? or just cut them off?
