Mixed signals from a Leo man

I'm a huge newbie at this astrology thing but here goes:

I've had a crush on my male coworker for months (we both work part-time while finishing Uni), we get along very well, talk a lot both at work and online, always have dinner together, he sits near me often, we talk about very personal topics and have been getting to know each other quite well. He never discusses his dating life although I know he's single, there's not much else he's told me. But I do like him a lot and feel like we make a great team with our inside jokes and how much we trust each other, so even though I'm a HUGE scaredy cat when it comes to love (I never take risks, preferring not to reveal my feelings for people), I'm willing to take a few cautious risks for him.

Now, he's a Leo sun, Pisces Moon, Cancer Venus, and his Ascendant is Taurus. I'm a Scorpio sun, Virgo Moon, Capricorn Venus, and my Ascendant is Aquarius. Don't know if this is enough info to draw any conclusions from, but I suppose it is.

I'd love to understand his mixed signals because as much as I enjoy taking things slow, I'm afraid of investing my time on a relationship that will go nowhere. I would enjoy being just his friend if things don't work out but at the moment my feelings are somewhere else, especially since I think he'd be an excellent boyfriend.

Is it worth the risk letting him know or should I keep it under wraps until I'm sure he feels the same? Should I just give up and just focus on the friendship?
