remember 1964 when con artists had MANNERS and made up elaborate plots to get your money? people EARNED back then. now rookies just tell you straight up to leave money for their lunch. it's so gross. no bulshatticus story about donating to some revolutionary cause. starbucks is a nobler con than modern dating con. at least they make you feel like you're helping out. now you can't even get a compliment or get love bombed, just negging. those were the days of.....

Back in the day you had to work for it, invent a new scheme, go actually talk face to face with people. With the internet and phones now you just read from the same template over and over like a regular telemarketer. Because of the number of people you can reach in a second all over the world it's a numbers game now, quantity over quality
