Square = energies of both celestial bodies amplify each other and are at cross purpose.
Semi-square = refusal of integration/unity, like magnets repelling each other.
Inconjunct = seclusion of energies between celestial bodies
Sesquiquadrate = progressive imbalances between the energies

Venus square Saturn in synastry = having a hard time grounding love in reality, developing roots, but it can also stir the energy required to activate other aspects and bring life/drama in the relationship
Venus semi-square Saturn = postponing commitments such as offering the ring or accepting it, or living a disorganized love life, may be living in separate apartments
