Terrible Mercury in synastry - help!

Me and my friend have awful mercury aspects and it's so difficult to deal with.

Mercury Square Mercury 2.12
Mercury Opposition Mars 0.31
Mercury Trine Jupiter 0.37
Mercury Square Saturn 0.21
Mercury Square Uranus 0.02

As you can see, the orbs are really tight so it makes it seem impossible. The only good one is Mercury Trine Jupiter which does help to ease some of the conflict but we are always disagreeing and getting frustrated with each other trying to get our points across.

She's such a great person and we have a great friendship but can anyone tell me how to deal with negative mercury aspects in synastry? Should I listen to her more? Talk less? Talk more?! I'm worried we'll drift apart if we don't tackle it.

Just seen that my friend has these aspects in her natal chart:

Mercury Square Mars 1.27
Mercury Opposition Saturn 1.25
Mercury Opposition Uranus 1.48

Could this alter her communication style ? How can I communicate better with someone with these aspects?

Thanks Bella. We have been friends for 12 years and are really close, I was just wondering if there was a way to ease the bad mercurial energy between us.

My Mercury is in Virgo and hers is in Gemini. Both of these signs are Mercury-ruled, though. Would that make our communication stronger or weaker?

i am not sure how to help but i am gemini rising and i am forever arguing with the virgos in my life. we both love a good debate but virgos hate to be wrong. both signs are mutable, so you should be able to bend for each other and compromise. i noticed the virgos tend to try to get me worked up and always want to discuss serious topics that no one can seem to agree on.
