FALSE advertisement!

Ladies/gents, there's NOTHING wrong with wanting someone to see you at your BEST, especially persay on a 1st date!

BUT

What's up with needing 3+ hours to get ready all so you can put on your: fake eyelashes, fake nails, fake hair/weave, fake contacts, fake padding in your bra or fake/added adhesives to make your hips/butt look bigger/wider!?!?!? etc?

It's 1 thing to wear makeup and/or added cosmetics b/c you feel it ENHANCES the beauty you ALREADY have, BUT it's another thing to expect for cosmetics to completely MAKE/BREAK who you are! Men CAN & WILL pick up on this & this is perhaps why alot of men are starting to prefer women that appear to be as "NATURAL" as possible!

It's NOT a good thing if you ONLY feel pretty IF you have on make up! It's NOT a good thing if you only feel pretty/"presentable" IF you have on fake hair/weave. It's NOT a good thing if you have to damn near empty the bottle just to drown yourself in perfume all for the 1st date!

I think some women/men need to establish a certain COMFORT with who they already NATURALLY are, vs. expecting for everything BUT who you really are to make/break you.

If you ever plan on waking up next to a man every morning, understand that EVENTUALLY he's going to see the REAL you. After all, makeup & all those cosmetics don't stay on/attached FOREVER! HA! This is why I encourage my male friends to get a GOOOOOOD look at the women they wake up next to after a long night of partying! What her face looks like in the MORNING is a good advertisement for what she REALLY looks like! He may not like what she REALLY looks like, BUT atleast he'll know UP FRONT what/who he's REALLY getting himself into! I'd rather find out EARLY on that my man is NOT ok with who I am naturally than to find out 2 years later when he FINALLY sees me w/o all the added trimmings!

And sorry ladies, but I'm with the men on this! They want to see that you can be JUST AS beautiful with a TURTLE-KNECK on the same way they'd want to think you're "hot" persay you had on a bikini!

Men want to see that you're JUST AS beautiful withOUT all the fake nails, makeup, hair & added trimmings SOMETIMES!

Point is: You can't be COMPLETELY ashamed of who you are as your NATURAL self! Hell, it's alot LESS stressful when a man thinks you're just AS beautiful when you're wearing sweatpants with a dab of makeup on your face vs. finding out that he ONLY thinks you're so hot b/c of things you technically take OFF at night! I'mJustSayin

I completely agree! My brother likes to call these "high maintainance" girls and stays clear away from them. Everyone likes someone who takes pride in their appearance but there is definately a clear line. He see's it that in general (obviously not all) this behaviour tends to spread into other areas in the relationship.

I am very low maintainance, i dont walk around looking like a complete tramp lol but most guys have actually been attracted to the fact that i can go from getting out of bed to ready to leave in about 15 minutes. They love the fact that I dont care if my hair is a mess when i wake up in the morning and am in no rush to slap on the make-up. Confidence is a person is sexy.

I also cant stand a guy that takes more time getting ready then I do, and since I dont take long it gives them about 10 minutes!

Hell even if my makeup or hair isn't all the way done, there's still ways to tweak things up a little to make it so that I STILL look & feel just as gorgeous!

I know it gets annoying when guys want to hang out with the girls that need atleast 2+ hours just to get "decent." And the same goes vice versa. I'd probably lose interest QUICK in a guy who takes longer to get ready than I do!

It's like sheeeeeeeesh! What is taking so long! If you don't look beautiful by now you probably WON'T ever anyways!

And it's funny b/c it's always easy to spot the women/men who are very superficial! Hell even after they are finally finished getting ready after 4 hours, & leave the house they are STILL probably going to need to look in the mirror every 5 seconds just to "MAKE SURE" they still look good.

Personally I wouldn't want to be obsessed with myself appearance-wise b/c I wouldn't want someone else to be obsessed with JUST my appearance. I wouldn't want my man growing to expect me to look like Beyonce every single day of the week! Hell, he needs to know that somoetimes my "decent" or my "beautiful" is sweatpants with my hair pulled up! I HATE false advertisement!

I can see why some guys hate fake breasts or anything cosmetic! It's 1 thing to have fake colored contacts BUT it's another thing to have fake eyelashes that are BARELY hanging on to dear life by the end of the night. And hey, there's nothing wrong with cosmetic enhancements AS LONG AS they are not what defines you and/or make/breaks what you OR others consider "beautiful."
