But my thing is WHY? Ok ok I get it..sex is amazing & it's awesome, but WHY is it SO important that it has to be had when you're on your period? I mean is it really going to KILL you if you make him wait 3-7 days?!
I get it that men/women don't stop being horny necessarily b/c someone's on their period, BUT where is the self-control if a person STILL wants to stick their weener in you at a time when blood is coming out of you? That's just outrageous to me!
It's 1 thing to be pregnant & have sex during the pregnancy, BUT do people not realize the dangers/risks of having sex while on your period?!!! 1. It's hard enough as it is to prevent yourself from contracting an std, but sheesh, it's literally VERY DANGEROUS to have sex while on your period b/c it ups the chances for viral infections, bacterial infections, UTI's & Yeast infections. And personally, it's just NOT worth it.
I'm not even going to comment on the people who engage in ORAL sex while the woman is on her period! I mean seriously, that's almost the same as screwing someone while they're taking a dump!

Pregnancy!!! That's the only thing that scares me with the idea of having sex while on my period. Being safe and all, that's something to worry about when on or off your period. BUT I would try it I'll admit. As long as there are condoms and birth control pills involved.
I don't get it! What's the difference between ovulating and being on the period— I've always thought it was the same. Or like, it's the first day of the period your body releases the eggs. Or the first few days. It's only one egg each period right? Someone teach me please—

Just to clarify, by period I am refering to the days you bleed. Others can refer to the whole cycle (roughly 28 days) as a period.

Women always ovulate, ovulation happens on birth control. Birth control is meant to prevent the egg from planting on the wall of the uterus. So even though the egg can get fertilized it shouldn't plant on the wall of the uterus. It doesn't always work. A girl shouldn't get pregnant on her period because the period is where the body is releasing the blood and the supposedly unfertilized egg to make room for a new egg to ovulate and get fertilized.
These are basic things you learn in biology class
I DO NOT ovulate. I have been on Cerazette, Depo injection and now Yasmin and they all stop ovulation. On Cerazette I did not even have periods, was amazing apart from it gave me really bad mood swings so had to come off 😢
