I have been friends with this woman for over 10 years and about a year ago we began dating. About 2 months after the dating we became intimate. Things appeared to be going well and we had several discussions about the future. Recently she mentioned she wanted to step back and make sure that the relationship was right. She has a religious upbringing and said that we should both look to God for an answer as to whether or not the relationship should move forward. As she was saying this she also alluded to the fact that sex came into the picture much earlier than she anticipated. In my mind this seems like a smoke screen for her wanting to end things. I would appreciate any input from someone that sees it differently.
