to start off i've got a random, vague, purely hypothetical question to pose:

when is financial augmentation appropriate or acceptable in a relationship?

so let's say hypothetically there is this certain someone i know would benefit financially from a monetary gift

let's just say it's about 2g.

the type of relationship is not what I would call clearly defined yet. mostly meaning i can't decipher what is going on in the other person's head.

i mean, mostly meaning let's just say it's not clearly defined yet. for simplicity sake, let's just assume neither party knows what's going to happen.

so let's just say one of these people would need 2g, and the other person just happens to have 2g unallocated.

so i get it, friends can gift money, no problem there

but is there some kind of caution to consider under those circumstances?

like if shit goes sour, or if there is a conflict in expectations?

is this going to set a trend? is it even a bad trend?

would it start to set a mindset that the person with the money is solely just a bank account?

what are the chances that if it's more than just money, what's past the money would be seen clearly?
