I only alert you to this because I believe in the truth, and through my research as well as others', this has been discovered as the truth.

Okay, disregard that everyone, at least for the time being. The above cannot as of yet be confirmed, and I believe I may have cast doubt on some blameless people, not on purpose but because I thought this problem was more widespread than it might actually be. If that's the case and I've wrongly included you on that list, my sincerest apologies.

Even if true, does it really matter? It may not be the way you or I or others operate but that shouldn't invalidate someone coming in here under different nics for a bit of fun in their free time.

I wouldn't be too concerned as it may be a programming error or such.

The reason I was irked is because I developed somewhat of a bond with a person only to find out that they were running game (4 confirmed aliases) the whole time. I don't like that. I'm sorry, and you're entitled not to care, but on an emotional level it bothers me.

And yes, dxp has pretty much come to the conclusion that it's likely something to do with ISPs "reusing" other members' IP numbers, so it may not be that she was ALL those people, but like I said, she was 4 different ones at least.

Sorry, I'm just needing to vent a bit.

I strike all names from that list with the exception of SQ/WB/Your Mother and Sunflower, in the interest of fairness.

There are times, pheonix, when the "freedom of speech" is guaranteed and yet social pressure forces the opposite. (not that I disagree with Lawgoddess or anyone else, I'm just making a point)

I DO see your point Heather..truly.. YOu seem to be an upfront honest kind of person, and place trust in ppl. But you gotta remember..it's the net, and there's going to be tons of lurkers out there just out for a bit of fun. Not everyone will have the same view on use of the net as perhaps you and I. Just be careful in future about sharing info that may possibly harm you with ANYONE until trust is assured. I could see where you were coming from, but perspective is needed. Suzy Q or whoever and others are possibly having fun stirring up ppl..that's cool too, even if someone was caught unawares. Take care and breathe deep.

Lawgoddess, you are so awesome. The way you put everything there made a lot of sense. It's the first time it's happened to me on the 'net, so I think I just got paranoid and mistrustful and suspicious of waaay too many people there for a day or two. I feel horrible about possibly wrongly accusing people...can't wait to see the awful karma that's going to nip me in the butt for that. I suck, I'm sorry, and you're right about everything. I think I need to meditate now. lol.
