Sagittarius wants to run free. Freedom-loving is a good Sagittarius keyword. This sign is all about stretching normal boundaries. That's it in a nutshell. Positively-Sagittarius is open-minded and tolerant. Negatively- they are moralistic and judgmental. Stifling routines and boring jobs absolutely suffocate Sagittarius. It's all about expanding the mind so, Sagittarius has an expansive mind. It matches their expansive mouth. Well, this is the sign of truth, and they just speak honestly. Some would call this being blunt and tactless. Don't take them personally though; it's their mission. After all, someone has to tell It like it is. Sometimes their honest approach makes them surprisingly gullible. After all, they don't beat around the bush and they expect the same from you.
They have a good sense of humor, but it's weird how often they miss the punch lines in jokes. Or is it?

It's also mental journeys, as well as actually leaving the comfort of hearth and home and hitting the high road. They are adventurous and a bit restless from time to time.
Sagittarius is philosophical. They think about God. They philosophize about God. This sign is also about belief systems of any kind. Unfortunately, it too often becomes an overly zealous kind of "I have all the answers approach." For all of this sign's open mindedness, it's also the sign of "The Judge."

With expansive Jupiter as their back up they're often an indulgent lot, too. Heavy duties and small details is not a Sagittarian treat. Too often this sign in a chart means, irresponsible. Explore, run free, indulge present moment whims and fancies. Hey, this is starting to sound like fun! Nature-loving. Sagittarius is back to nature. It's going into the mountains and getting away, from it all. So, in a way it suggests being alone. When one is alone, the pressure of societal responsibilities takes a back seat. It's the energy of the mountain man or woman.
One more thing. This sign is supposed to be optimistic. But, Jupiter is the great expander. When a Sag is feeling down they are anything but optimistic. I think this a trait most of them need to develop. However, many do live up to the reputation. Some might like to say this trait makes Sagittarius feel invincible. Blind optimism-it

...can drive Sag's enemies completely nuts!
