Can Scorpio and Libra work?

I really need advice from you beautiful and intriguing Scorpios! I'm a Libra and I've met a Scorpio man online. We've been talking via email, text and phone for about a month now. I really feel like we connect and that there is potential for a relationship but to be honest I'm so leary. I've always been "afraid" to get involved with a Scorpio because of the things I've read and heard about them (i.e. Intensity, jealousy etc.). Please let me say though that I realize people are people and just because two sun signs aren't "supposed" to be compatible it really depends on so many other things and because of that I try very hard not to pre-judge and to base my opinion on my personal experiences. With that being said... Since I've been talking to him I've absolutely fallen for this man! He seems like such a laid back and sweet man and I feel comfortable with him. I feel inspired, intrigued, like I've finally met someone who's worthy of my time. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that we're both in our 40's and have some wisdom behind us. I'm just worried though... is it possible... is it a waste of time on both of our parts to try to find out? I know those are questions that I can only find the answers to myself but I would really like to hear from some Scorps that have been involved with a Libra. 🙂

Hi ! I'm a Scorpiogirl and I've some Libra friends , mostly girls and they are really nice and sweet people . My first love was a Libraman , he is easy-going , laid back and friendly with everyone outside but indeed a perfectionist at heart .He mostly enjoys reading at night or listen to jazz music .When we meet up , he tried his best to be a romantic person in my dreams , we danced at the beach when the weather is freakingly freezing so after that we both got a cold , we took a walk near the lake and rescued the ducklings , we cooked meals together and enjoyed cozy chats lasted hours ...There are sweet moments but there are also dark ones , mostly due to each held a different view about religions .Then withdrawals from both of us , probably due to stubborness and pride .Hence, after many back and forth ( it 's getting stronger whenever we're back) he moved to another place and broke up with me , said we couldnt be more than friends because I dont believe strongly in the thing he values most , his religion even though he tried to convert me alot of times .He said it was nice if the one he believed most -his religion and the person he liked most could believe it too . I guess I'm not fit in the "perfect" picture he had . Now we re just good friends . 🙂
The point is scorpio and libra can have a really romantic and passionate time , a roller coster ride with lots of adventures and heart thrilling . You might even thought why didnt I meet this person earlier ? This one could be my soulmate because he/she connect with me on so many levels , not just emotions but also intellectual too ! how cool that is !
A Libra first meet a Scorpio will be mesmerised by his/her witty comments , wisdom and seemingly optimistic view( I have Sagittarius rising !) about everything , even the most depressing one or unbalanced one can feel fresh , breezy air into his/her life . They found someone that they can trust implicitly , encourage them to be themselves , be silly and fun , no reservations , no need to hold back , no need to be in control and be more imaginative (this is what my ex told me at least!)
A Scorp(me) first met a Libra will be charmed and intrigued by the gentleness and sweetness .How can there be someone so open yet close at the same time ? Is there something secret they keep in their hearts? A Scorp usually is described as mysterious but I personally find Libra , at least my ex is mysterious ! I would love to unlock all the doors inside him

One day , when every parts are seen , even the unpretty ones , he asked me how could I still like him after I saw his ugliness , I told him that what makes us humans and I love him more for that . At the same time , when I felt down and withdrawn ( I have Scorp in Moon and Venus) , he would be so caring and drew me out my cave with warm hug . ..

Good luck , dramas will happen in the later but I guess all the relationships are like that , not just Scorp and Libra so enjoy the ride .

Wow... Well... I'm sorry I missed all the fun! I'm at work right now and thought I would check back in to see if I had any responses. I haven't really had a chance to read all of the responses but I will later when I have a chance to spend more time chatting. One thing though...I've never had a chia pet so I'm not sure if we would get along. I would make a valiant effort though. I would like to think that I don't have a problem getting along with anyone. But hey.. different personalities get along with other different personalities... I'm no exception to the rule and never claimed to be. If I'm not comfortable around someone then I'll move on. You know we (Libras) don't do conflict.

Back to the Scorpio thing though... My moon is Pisces, Venus is Virgo, Rising is Leo. His moon is Leo (I adore Leos), Venus is Virgo (also) and Rising is Capricorn.

Any thoughts on that?

TaurusBabe, Thank you sooo much for the encouraging words. That was my thought but I guess it always feels good to have some confirmation from someone else. This is just important to me for some reason. I have a good feeling about this guy but I guess either way it goes, I'll never know unless I try. I think I'm just afraid of setting myself up for disappointment.

BTW: My son is a Taurus and my best friend. Honestly, there's really no one that I have trouble getting along with... except for Virgo men... they annoy the hell of me for some reason. lol My other son is a Virgo and damn it's hard to deal with him sometimes. So much negativity!

... and more power to you! Honestly, I have a couple of Virgo friends that I adore in small doses... they just seem to have a tendancy to lean toward the negative and it wears me down quickly. My son is an awesome kid but it's the same thing with him... The debating side of my Libra always kicks in with him... me always trying to convince him that life isn't as bad as he thinks it is. They have great hearts and great senses of humor though! That part I love!

Umm... Sorry? Didn't mean to offend... and don't worry I won't marry one. To each their own. We're all different and are compatible with different people. The most important thing is finding that person that you're as compatible with as possible. 🙂

See that's the thing right there! We evolve over time into totally different people due to different parts of our personalities (moon, venus, rising, mars etc.)and circumstances and wisdom over years of life's experiences. That's why I had the big question about the Scorpio compatibility. I was thinking to myself why does it have to be set in stone that Scorpio and Libra can't be compatible? We're two grown-ass people in our 40's and surely we've learned to work with our born weaknesses and quirks and become people that can make an educated decision on whether we're compatible... without going through the hell of finding out the hard way. Maybe I'm dreaming though...

That's awesome. I wonder what their other planets were. Aren't you curious? That can lead into an entirely different subject also though. I admire people from our folks era. They used to make things work because that's what you did. Society is on such a moral decline these days. I don't even know why people bother to get married anymore. It seems like there's nothing sacred about that vow anymore. I guess maybe it's both good and bad. I'm sure there were a lot of people back in the day that lived very unhappy lives also...just because divorce wasn't the option it is today.

There is always a huge attraction with the two signs, especially Libra male/scorp woman. 80% of my involvements have been with Libra men, including a 6 year marriage to one. My closest male friends are Librans. The two are intrigued by the opposite powers they hold. They both vibe off of eachother's stregnths and accept eachother's weaknesses at the same time. Hey Girl! Sooooo sorry! It's been a crazy weekend. No time and no privacy to write. I've thinking about what you said and can only determine, like I said before that our moon, venus, rising and mars play a big part in the compatibility issue. I'm still leary but growing warmer at the thought of just throwing caution to the wind and seeing where this could take me (us). Our distance will be a huge thing to surpass. We're 800 miles apart. 😢 There seems to be just as much there to think about as there is with whether we're compatible.

I was involved briefly with a Libra man. He's one of my best friends now. Such a sweet and loving guy but about 10 years younger and still "sewing his oats". lol Now we just have indepth conversations about sex and relationships. It's pretty cool actually. 🙂

Awww... I love happy endings! Thank you so much for sharing! I'm really glad you mentioned the "space thing". I've been divorced for a few years and have grown to like my space... a lot (a little worried that 800 miles might be too much space though...lol). I'm perfectly fine with giving space also... as long as I know I'm secure in my relationship. If I know that then he can have all the space he needs. 🙂

It's true ! I really need my space , sometimes with friends , sometimes just alone to reflect and get in touch with my inner self 🙂 After that I 'll be sweet , active and passionate again ! 🙂
