Need help with a scorpio man

I met a scorpio man a little bit ago and at first he was all over being around me. And wanted to take me out even though i sometimes would refuse but he kept insisting. He visited me at work just to see me. Then I finally gave in and went to a movie with him the same week. We kissed during and it was great. We couldn't stop and he told me how much he wanted to see me as mich as possible while he still had a car (he was borrowing his friends while he was on vacation). Then even after his friend came back i'd go see him. We worked out at the gym together, sat & talked for hours. He would tell me things like when he gets his own place (he just moved here months ago) that he'll have me visit more, watch movies and cook for me, etc.
Now he started acting distant, but maybe he was just busy, he works all day. Then one night asks me to just to stay with him for the night. I agreed. ((I thought maybe i'm just thinking too much and he's going through hot and coldness real quick (from what i've heard about scorpios) and now he's back.)) It was a perfect night just being with each other. He slept most of it since he had to work early the next day. But he was very loving thoroughout the night-holding my hand while we cuddled & slept, kissing me when he was half asleep, and asking if i'm okay at times when he knew i wasn't asleep.
The next morning he went off to work and since then a few days later he's been so distant. He doesn't reply as much if at all. He keeps telling me sorry. That either: his phone died while he was out (i think he's going out with friends now since he's leaving for work in a few days for 2 weeks), he phone is messing up with alerting him, he fell asleep right away, etc.
i asked him if we're okay. He says "yeah why?". I explain how he just hasnt talked much since i spent the night. He said he's sorry and has been preoccupied. Maybe he needs a little more space now?
What do i do? Should i just let him come back on his own?
I'm just afraid he's going to leave for two weeks and i'll be left confused & upset cause i won't be able to contact him til he gets back. And also afraid he won't be contacting me when he gets back. He told me all about when he's leaving & coming
I'm just not sure how to handle this now, help?

Did he tell you that he loves you? Did he make any commitment?

well the days after i asked him if he was okay since we hadn't talked much since i spent the night he had been texting me more. still sounding distant though. the night before he left for work (for 2 weeks), he randomly calls me on Facetime as i'm walking out of work. i didn't have good signal and neither did he. so it did not last long. but he left yesterday and has been working up to the time he left. and haven't heard from him and won't since he called on Facetime, i don't think he can use his phone til he gets back
we haven't talked about any sort of relationship, because since we met it goes well when i'm with him and i figured it was too early to talk about that, but when he gets back should i? he said we would see each other when he gets home. or should i just keep going with the flow of things?
