I don't know. I'm kind of sick if conspiracies. Should I hand in my scorp card now?

Everything is bullshit. Once you realize this nothing shocks you any more. Too cynical?

umm, IS, actually, I wasn't thinking of conspiracies. No, not too cynical, however
one must approach such topics with caution, then one must analyze and scrutinize the evidence and
the testimonies, then consider whether the same are merely isolated cases or part of a larger
picture, not unlike criminal investigation.

et al,
What I was thinking of was how obsessed and preoccupied people are with the subject of sex.
So much so, I begin to wonder if they have any interest in anything else at all.

dxp has other forums where people can inquire and respond to relationship topics that
are a more appropriate place for the subject of a sexual nature.

Nah.Not too cynical.

There's a fine line between bullshit, conspiracies, and paranoia. It's a bit tiresome especially when you realize those peddling such nonsense are hoping to stoke their audience's neuroses for their own sake.

Part two:

Around the web, Scorpios are defined as "sexy", mystics, clandestine, loyal and insane among
the few descriptions.
And people believe this. You can tell by the threads and repetitious comments about Scorpio.

In private messages, among topics, I have had women inquiring about relationship issues wherein neither partner was even a Scorpio.

Maybe I should have added "Sex aside, what else are you interested in?" to my title.

PS, IS, I've been noticing, for the most part, the quality of film titles, scripts, plot, acting etc having declined over the years. The repetition of subjects have gone far beyond the numbness of monotony. One really has to hunt to find a good film or an excellent documentary.

Why do I feel soooooo ancient?

Read 11 minutes. Once minutos. That is all sex boils down to 11 minutes. All the pressure, all the ecstasy, all mother issues, all insecurities for 11 minutes lol

Whaaa? Who has sex for 11 minutes? Maybe an Aries man but every other guy went past that. 45 max & 25-30 min. I'm shocked if thats how long normal sex lasts. I must have been with stallions then if thats the case ๐Ÿ˜›

I was going to create a thread about this the other day but had better things to do.

I might be back to start a discussion on this including my own personal thoughts.

It's the darnedest thing.
It's as though, women treat you a certain way because they believe whatever astrology says about your sign. And you may not even be interested in astrology and are totally ignorant of the subject.

That's what's bad about astrology. - people judge others based on what astrology says and not on the merits of the individual in condemnation.

My two earliest recollections of dxp was
a) "you see dead people"
b) "Scorpio men are sooo hot and sexy. Why are they so insane?"

I was thinking.... "ummmm, I just stopped for a pack of cigs."

If you're a Scorpio, your guilty. If not a Scorpio, you're guilty by association.

There is so much more. So much more.

A film can convey a true life story. All one needs to do is investigate the story.
In the case of Jaws, many people learn about the USS Indianapolis.
The real story about the tragedy surrounding the USS Indianapolis.

Mr F. The scripts being produced is like 1% of the scripts out there.

You see it's the monied people who run the show and they base their decisions on some crap concept if what "sells". There are some very visionary executive producers and there are some very simple minds with too much money and their nephew in Philadelphia who has a great script about-- zombies. @.@

Kill me now.

Unfortunately this is primarily why you see a preponderance of crap.

Hmmm, same observation with the music industry.
Reminds of the chicken/egg question: Does art imitate life or does life imitate art.

Film and Music are not the only two that have suffered.
Just about everything else has, too. Education, manufactured durable goods, it's all in decline.

Books may be about all that's left. However, with the trends of going paperless, reading may
fall by the wayside. For me, when it comes to literature, especially good literature, it belongs
in a paper book. Unfortunately, new hard bound books are getting expensive to obtain and hard to sell
once read.

It's that built-in obsolescence/throw-away mentality that seems to saturate the so-called "civilized" society.
It's no wonder the elderly, sick, disabled and infirm, and babies are neglected, scorned and abused
or worse, killed off.
(I am reminded of a woman for sex has a child and who murdered her child with a microwave)

My Blood BOILS!

Because of people covering their asses, or for security interests or ??, Cpt. McVay was unprecidentedly made the fall guy and his fall tarnished the US Navy. Interesting how the same thing happened with Adm. Kimmel regarding Pearl Harbor. Certainly, I am not the only one who smells a rat.

This is why everyone who is conscious of such and has a passion for anything at all should put their effort into preserving and producing. While a huge portion of society is perfectly content being sheep as they shop the cheap shit at Walmart, some of us prefer the things that last. I refuse to do my art digital because there's something very personal and profound in creating it with my own hands. I also prefer books I can hold in my hand. That said, I can appreciate the convenience of having a digital book for vacation, etc. Ideally they should offer a book that also comes with a digital download so you can have the best of both worlds.

Well, yes, such modern conveniences are fine. It's just that there is something tangible about
holding a book, or if art, a real object. And yes, Wal-Mart is the rage of the age. Too people really
underestimate how cheap Wal-mart pays wholesale and turns around and mark up the retail.
People are cheap. I could spend a month on an oil painting, yet nobody is going to pay me minimum
wage earnings for it. (and people say "time is money") but they'll surely pay a million dollars for
a urinal. Grrrrr. Maybe "Bird poop on a paper picnic plate" would fetch an easy $ 10 grand.

hmmm, Perhaps I should do just that!

And yes, great films can educate, move, and inspire. I really loathed the film "Amadeus," but I'd recommend the soundtrack as a great sampler for anyone interested in getting to know Mozart a little better.

Did you? Why?

Granted, I was a kid when I saw it, but I loved it.

I didn't feel the film was very respectful to Mozart at all. It was highly fictionalized and portrayed Mozart without any dignity. I liked "Farinelli" better.
