Why did this Scorpio guy bother to contact me?

I need some help please as I am so confused right now about this Scorpio guy I've had a crush on since last June. I know they like to play mind games so need some insight regarding this situation.

Last night I had a couple of drinks with friends, including my Scorpio crush. Then about an hour after everyone had gone home my crush sent me a text :

HIM: Are you awake or are you drunk in bed?
ME: I'm awake, almost sober and bored sh*tless. What are you doing?
HIM: I'm just packing the car and watching cr*p on TV. So you're lonely without your bro?
ME: Yep it's far too quiet. Want to come over for a bit? BYO booze
HIM: I would but I have to finish getting my sh*t together for tomorrow. I pack like a woman and need 10 suitcases to go away for 3 days
ME: Ha! That's much worse than any girl I know. Have a fun time away.

*head desk*

Why effing do that to me?! I got the impression he was hinting that he wanted to see me again since he asked me if I'm lonely, but then he bailed when I invited him over. WTF!?

Maybe he is afraid of you,that's why he didn't come after knowing you are alone.
Did you give him any death threats lately?

I should mention we've been flirting with each other for ages (since last September!!) including again last night at the bar, but neither of us have made any bold moves. So I got excited when he asked if I was lonely and I expected him to jump at my offer when I invited him over, but I feel like I got rejected big time. BAH!

I dunno, maybe he's just a natural flirt and I'm reading too much into it 'cos I'm totally smitten with him. :-/

Maybe your way of inviting him was different,like when people invite others just to be nice..
Or he was making sure you are not with someone else..
Anything is possible,we are so complicated creatures.

Ugh, I realize now that I did try to read too much into the text conversation, simply 'cos I'm crazy about him. 😛

Admittedly I do enjoy taking control in a relationship but know that a Scorpio does too so I'm not going to take the initiative by slamming him up against a wall, however much I'm tempted to. LOL! I guess something good came out of that text convo 'cos now he definitely knows I'm interested and not just overly flirtatious.

Anyhow I'll lay low for a while and hopefully he'll contact me again soon.

LOL! I agree with fingA and Jackdoniel... Concern. That is a good sign. Doesn't mean anything more. Stop flirting and tell him you like him already!
