In your daily life, what does it take to make you happy ?

Do you need to socialize a lot or use social media a lot to feel happy ?

If you don't get a lot of positive feedback from others do you automatically feel unloved ?

I managed to live to see the next one 😄.

Need? No. Use. Yes.

No.

(seriously, this last question made me ask "what the f*ck?" I think it was the "automatically feel unloved" part that threw me...just sayin')

Another question in my head:

Does it impress you when someone seems to be 'popular' on instagram or facebook ?

I have to say this doesn't impress me one bit. Given enough time to waste and effort, any average man or woman could be popular on instagram.. right ? It would impress me if they posted awesome photographs, or had a proper music video with a lot of positive feedback though.

Why? Is it the feedback or the actual talent that impresses you?

Well, the talent of course. But not every talented person is able to perform it in a way to get a positive feedback.

No, your English is fine---unless you meant something else. What throws me (because I can't relate to it) is the idea that your mood and overall emotional wellbeing is dependent on the whims of others. If you don't get feedback you feel unloved (pretty strong word there) and as soon as someone say "oooow, what a phat ass" (which is what is mostly posted on IG), all of a sudden the person's self-esteem sky rockets? God forbid this person's phone dies or loses internet service for a few minutes because she/he would be curled up in the fetal position asking why they feel so unloved.

Okay. I guess I am impressed by the talent alone. I appreciate (and actually really respect) artists that believe in their work, even if it doesn't appeal to me. I understand your point though.

I don't support that idea. I'm trying to empathize with people who identify themselves with how they are portrayed on Social Media.

Some people seem to get a huge kick out of it. And some people are really impressed with popularity no matter how meaningless its roots are.

I deactivated my Fb account for a while last year and my new bf was like ;' It's impossible ! All my friends who met you are trying to find you on fb. Why don't you get a new account and I'll take a photo of you for your profile ?' It's like you don't exist without a fb account. Especially if you're friends with people who actively use it. Not just that, but I've seen people try harder to become friends with those who seemed to have a lot going on when you check their social media accounts.

My father and I have the same name, so all I get on Facebook are dirty messages and titty pics from divorcees that heard he's single now but send shit to me instead.

That's pretty disgusting. You have the power to inform these women that they are not sending these pictures to your father. Are you giving them that information to make an informed decision on sending their pic?

There's nothing humorous or okay about not informing those women.

No. Ugly people get a shit ton of likes everyday. Why? Because they have no self respect or they literally spend most of their day online adding friends and liking as much stuff as they can like. It's sad. But in real life they have no job, no gf/bf, no life, and no substance to them. And most people nowadays are thirsty as hell so they crave attention and other thirsty people comment looking for some ass or fishing for a compliment back. This broad I used to talk to was ugly as SHIT (but she had a good mouth and I was immature back then). She thought she was the shit because she got like 500 likes on her pics but she didn't realize that people were liking her stuff because she had her tits and her ass out and some people felt sorry for her ugliness so they liked it. Plus it helped that she was always liking and commenting in EVERYTHING.
