Has anyone else been feeling like not watching tv lately? In the past year or so, I've severly cut down on the amount of television I watch. It just seems like there's so much crap on there, and a million shows are just copycats of other shows on other networks...even the news annoys me - it's the commentators, their personalities - particularly on FOX news, they really bug me. "Fox And Friends", which comes on super early in the morning, is like this morning news/commentary show, and I would love to slap every single one of the people on that show. Every single one of them bug me. A lot. It's almost as if they don't actually know what they're talking about, or even care. And then, I'm so over the show "Trading Spaces" on TLC. I used to love it. Now it's like it's on ALL THE DAMN TIME - whatever happened to shows about ancient man, and wooly mammoths, and dinosaur fossils? lol. Bring back the old TLC, the way I liked it. And what's with "Discovery Kids" on the Discovery Channel? Can't kids have their own channel, like a smart version of Nickelodeon or something?? And - here's a thought - why on earth should a show about dinosaurs need to be "dumbed-down" to the point of needing to call it "Discovery Kids"? Kids ought to sit there and learn just like any adult would. If there's a word they don't understand, they should ask a parent. Where are the parents? If I was a parent, I'd much rather have my kid watch an adult show about dinosaur fossils, than some kiddy show about them.

I don't know, sometimes the littlest things get under my skin. lol.

I've watched some of The Apprentice, but it annoys me that they're all pretty much already rich and successful, and the behavior of some of the women is so catty and immature - but I do find it interesting, I like to see people being as creative as they can possibly be; it's an interesting thing to watch. I've heard Joan of Arcadia is good, people keep recommending it to me, but I never seem to catch it when it's on. ER I never got into, but not because I didn't want to, just because, again, I never seemed to catch it when it was on. Remember "Chicago Hope"? I was really into that for a while. I remember there was a funny little rivalry or something between ER watchers and Chicago Hope watchers. lol.

I take it your television taste runs more toward dramas than comedies?

Oh, I found this new show called "Significant Others" on some strange channel, can't remember which one, and it's fricking hilarious sometimes. It's very different because the actors do play from a script, but they also improvise, and the final product ends up being part-scripted, part-improvised. I find that fascinating. It's also very funny, very edgy, adult humor.

I love Seinfeld, Mad About You and That 70s show (the lead character "Eric" has the exact same personality as this really good Capricorn friend of mine, it's so weird to watch). Never saw Freaks & Geeks (although the title intrigued me, just never saw it), never saw Hill Street Blues, and never saw St. Elsewhere, but I've heard good things about them.

I want to see the Prime Minister adressing the Parliament, I want to see! I love the way they speak over in that part of the world. lol...I really do; I wish we all spoke like that. "The good gentleman...", Lord, I love that.
