Any Taurus Bosses out there?

Okay, so what does a Taurus boss like to see in thier employees? What impresses you? What irritates you? Etc, etc, etc. My new boss is a Taurus. I'm a Cap. I usually get along with Taurus, just trying to feel things out. Thanks for your input!

Hard workers. Self thinker/problem solving (I don't wanna have to tell you how to breath). A good understanding of efficiency, and how to make it work for you.. I don't expect everyone to know everything, but a good understanding and capacity to see the mechanics of how something works goes a long way. Hell, once I trust a persons understanding of efficiency and their understanding of the mechanics of how something is done/works they don't even have to do it my way if something else works better. Consistency/Dependability..

One of my biggest peeves is the over dramatic debbie downer. Going all 'Emo Eeyore' is what I call it...

The ones that always say 'We'll never get "X" done by "X" time" and turn into a big slump in the corner. Or just start dragging ass because 'whats the point in trying'.. ARRRGGG.. Just try damn it, you might surprize yourself, and if you still don't make it in time at least you when't down in flames trying. And your a damn lot closer then you would be had you not even try'd and kept moping around all Emo Eeyore...

Haha... Sorry, kinda when't off.. Just thinking about it bugs me... lol

I don't want slackers working under me. You should have the mentality that you CAN get the job done and you WILL meet the deadline. Communication and follow up is important. If you don't let me know that you won't be able to meet a deadline, you lose credibility with me.

You won't find anything better than this to describe Taurus bosses.

Yep ............and I can put in synthetic oil in my car with a new filter replacement, check the tires and the pressure, check and change all spark plugs (gold and other), lay PVC piping underground for lawn irrigation, check and replace electrical connections and outlets, repair pool filter and replace needed parts, use a pressure washer (know what a PSI means), repair and replace needed parts on by BBQ, and the list goes on ........... need I say MORE—?

I could say I'm a boss in some context, I run the girls in the evening and questions from back of house and front come to me. No title or any of that business, it's just there. If manager wants something done I get a phone call to crack the whip. I can honestly say I don't ask anything of anyone I wouldn't do myself.

OMG LOL you asked your boss when his birthday is?

Hi I'm a Taurus Boss! Female...I've been a manager for 10 years...

I am always leery of the employee who comes into my office and tells on everybody else. We don't trust the tattle tale. We believe they are the one to look out for. People who are there to work are not trying to be in every one's business.

We like hard workers, workers who don't complain about every and any thing. We like people who have a happy disposition and not always trying to bring the mood of everyone else down.

We just like honest people, plain and simple...I'm sure your boss will be fair to you.

Yes, I did ask my boss her birthday! lol But it wasn't akward. We were just talking and getting to know each other. It just came up in conversation. We were discussing kids with birthdays in the winter and how it's hard to plan parties for them (since in Texas February can be warm or cold). I didn't ask her sign - that would have been obvious! lol!

Oh, but in follow up she seems like a really great boss. I get the feeling she'll have our back and be fair. So, Yay!
