Security and Stability play roles in every Taurus life, in fact one could say they are hallmarks of our sign and this Bull is no different so it only makes sense that my future home at it's core be both secure and highly stable. For this reason I started planning and saving for my dream home last year, it's going to be custom built from Shipping Containers, what's known as Cargotecture.

There's something assuring about a home made from Steel which is protected from the elements and can withstand natural disasters with minimal threat of loss. I decided last year that this was my path to greatness and expect to have it a reality at age 33 (I'm almost 31).

Shipping Container homes come in all shapes and sizes, some are a simple 20 foot (150 sqft) or 40 foot (300 sqft)living spaces which are portable, while others are made from multiple containers and are several floors with huge bedrooms, master bathrooms and even swimming pools.

Shipping Containers as homes are ideal for the above, but also because of them being Eco friendly and green with minimal imprinting on the world at large. You can obtain a fully functioning 20 or 40 foot container complete with Electricity, Plumbing, etc for under $ 18,000 pre-built or around 10k if you do it yourself.

Here in California for the price of a normal middle class home ( $ 640,000) you can have a freaking castle made of containers. My Container home will consist of thirty seven 40 foot containers and include sub level (Underground) placement. More like a compound, than a home. LOL.

Mine would have very few windows...

But a lot of these container homes have built in security features to protect the windows such as walls that slide down and lock into place during storms or when you plan to be away for longer than a few hours. There's a Container home development about 15 minutes south of me near San Jose, California which is deploying Biometric locks and other high tech security to their homes.

Pretty much the sky is the limit and you are only restricted by imagination. Some container home owners go all out while others prefer nature and let it all hang out so to speak. The image below is an example of such security measures. All windows are protected by exterior Container panels.

Yeah, at least for the lower levels, something like that would be needed. How large are you going to build? Obviously the dude in the pic above is going to be a little crammed.

Would you still have some dude coming round to tell you off about your plants being one centimetre too high?

No and that's perhaps the best part. NO HOA!

My land, my rules!

I've done the math and during my time at my current Apartment (They call it a Condo) I've spent $ 190,000 in rent. LOL! Mind you I only have just over 900 sqft of living space, which includes a balcony. That's the size of three 40 foot containers.

Yeah, that guy above is actually one of three who lives in that box. LOL!

Far left is two "open air" relaxation beds and next to them is a sink with running water, and a tiny stove area for cooking. In the center is a full size bed that drops down and far right is a Shower, with a toilet and plenty of storage space in between thanks to cabinets etc Not my kind of home, but I guess if you want the simple life it works.

As for my home it's going to be three floors, and one floor underground.

First Floor:

3 Bathrooms (1 full)
Closet
Game Room
Garden (Outside)
Guest Den
Halls
Kitchen
Laundry Room
Living Room
Pantry
Study area

Second Floor:

3 Bathrooms (2 Master)
7 Bedrooms (2 Master with decks)
1 Common Deck with a small pool
Gym
Home Theater Room (Projection screen)
Library
Medic Room (Medical Supplies treating various issues)

Third Floor:
1 common deck with Fire Pit
Home Observatory (Star Watching)

Underground Floor:

1 Bathroom
Chem Lab (Explosives, Fireworks creation)
Computer Lab (Data Center)
Emergency Bunker (Living, Medical, Supplies)
Science Lab (Experiments, Special Equipment)
Security Room (Surveillance cameras etc)+++++++

Storage Room
Work Room (Building, Crafting, Electronics,Inventions etc)

All areas will have First Aid Kits and Security features. All underground rooms will be hermetically sealed. and spread out, buffered with concrete, dirt. 11,285 sqft total.

That is so true! Security and Stability play roles in every household aspect. A perfect home is where you can get all your dreams come true with a security as the main asset to enjoy your living. I had the same remodeling done with my home and replaced all the windows and doors which can safeguard my house. A year ago I was confused as in my area there are hurricane hazards which destroy the homes exterior stuffs. So it was important to maintain a proper coverage through windows. My friend suggested me about impact windows so that it could help and solve my problem. http://www.impactresistantwindowsndoors.com/impact-windows-west-palm-beach/
Now my home looks classy and is well protected.
