I know for a fact that anyone - no matter the sign will act if they want someone for real. The trouble is that I have never dated an older man before, and with his cold and hot attitude, he makes me want him more than just a night! Specially being in an unhappy relationship, him texting about what he wants to do when we meet, how much he wants me etc made me really excited. Left me wondering what changed since his 24/7 texting from last week.

He's 29 and 6.5 years younger than me but I actually fancied him the first time i met him but I thoughts he was early 30's not just 26 so I kept it to myself. Umm..he canceled on me a couple of times(when it was him who made the plans 😐) I thought I'm not gonna take this shit anymore..we also had power struggles.. Initially he never had problems with starting a conversation.. Later he'd ask why don't I text him n stuff..! I did ask him if there's anything which has been bothering him..he told he's just busy..n if it's about us I told it's just me n nothing to do with him..I knew he'd have made it up to me..but then it wasn't making any sense to me..I know there's no point holding on..there's clearly no future..so i just cut him off,changed my number,cut off our mutual friends,deleted messages..it's been a month now..

I'm not looking for anything in particular with this guy. I'm not over analysing or hoping for anything. My life is fine without him and will continue fine without him. I found him attractive on the outside and on the inside. We used to have good conversations. When you spend 12 hours working with just one person then in that particular line of work you get to know someone quickly. I liked his company. I think I was helpful to him in discussing stuff in his life. Major things such as work direction, past stuff, we shared a lot, but it wasn't overly emotional. I'm pretty easy to talk to and I'm quite open and I think the honest take on things can offer an alternative view point.
It would just be nice to meet up again as two people. If it happens it happens, if it doesn't then it doesn't. I'm tired of losing sleep over dudes who are replaceable. He either wants to meet or he don't. He either follows through or he don't. I've stated my case. Initially he didn't respond back after I messaged him my number via linked in and suggested meeting up but I left it a few weeks and messaged him again saying I wasn't asking for his hand in marriage and I just thought he was a nice fella. I told him not to be a knob and to tell me about his travels! I also addressed the night he stayed at mine after a work shift but nothing happened. It had never been addressed before and I really do think that was a slight none of contention. Anyway, he text me right away after that.
Now he's a bit older and has a few more years of life under his belt it would be interesting to catch up.

I've read the same from many Astrologers (karmic relationship). Opposite signs in Astrology do often seem to have a magnetism/pull, and oppositions in one's natal chart, or in synastry, are the second most powerful aspects and often point out areas where growth is needed. But from the literally 100's of Scorp/Taurus relationships I've seen sweep across these boards and in my pm box, it seems very apparent that there's something more going on here with this pairing. And as magnetic/passionate/""intense" as it can be, its equally as difficult, elusive, and often destructive. Why is it different with Taurus and Scorp? I've always wondered this. I've read that this pairing "activates" both people's 7th house of marriage/partnership but I have no idea what that actually means. I can see how, both signs often being considered the most loyal of the zodiac, we would really value that in the other, but that doesn't explain the chemistry.
I think I've found an answer that is good enough for me at least. It occurred to me when I was reading a thread on here (which I think has now been deleted) about Venus-Pluto synastry. People of all signs with Venus Pluto aspects w/their partner were flooding the thread talking about the attraction/obsession, how it was unforgettable, transformative, destructive, etc. The details of the stories REALLY shocked me. It all sounded so much like my experience and that of all of the obsessive Taurus/Scorp stories I've heard. If you look into what Astrologers say, Venus/Pluto oppositions (natal or in synastry) often involve power struggles, but in synastry specifically, you'll see that these aspects are consistently spoken of as "the most potent cross-aspects for sexual and emotional attraction". The ruling planets of Taurus and Scorpio are Venus/Pluto so, though its technically Sun opp. Sun in synastry, I think it may be a case of dealing with those very same *energies* in opposition in this pairing, that puts things on another level. Reading about the details of Venus/Pluto in synastry has sort of confirmed that for me.
There are all sorts of other factors that can intensify it though. You have a Taurus Moon and that'll do it. My Scorp crush had that too. She's also a Venus in Scorp which I think really made things even crazier. Not sure what it is about my chart specifically, but I also have just *always* been attracted to Scorps in a very different/distinctive and instantaneous sort of way. Even as a kid I'd fall in love with them onscreen as I've said here before.

Yeah I can be obnoxious and opinionated. Agree with the humour... I think it's my saving grace!!
I've found that time, physical distance, and distraction are key...I never got closure either. In fact, the amount of drama that is still going on, and keeps popping back up from time to time, is utterly ridiculous. No one would even believe it. The most tame of all the recent circumstances is that she now lives down the street from me, having moved in with another Taurus who goes to my gym, and my Sag has *frequent* extremely negative interaction with her. I am literally hiding most days. I'm glad its easy for me to go into homebody mode...lol. The more time that passes, and if you can avoid seeing them, the less *obsessed* you are, and once you get free of that, it feels like such a RELIEF just to have your self back, to have freedom back, to be able to enjoy the normal things you used to.

I think i should learn that part..my Gemini rising makes it easy for me to make friends n then the scorpio gets emotionally involved.. I've found that time, physical distance, and distraction are key...I never got closure either. In fact, the amount of drama that is still going on, and keeps popping back up from time to time, is utterly ridiculous. No one would even believe it. The most tame of all the recent circumstances is that she now lives down the street from me, having moved in with another Taurus who goes to my gym, and my Sag has *frequent* extremely negative interaction with her. I am literally hiding most days. I'm glad its easy for me to go into homebody mode...lol. The more time that passes, and if you can avoid seeing them, the less *obsessed* you are, and once you get free of that, it feels like such a RELIEF just to have your self back, to have freedom back, to be able to enjoy the normal things you used to.click to expand

It would just be nice to meet up again as two people. If it happens it happens, if it doesn't then it doesn't. I'm tired of losing sleep over dudes who are replaceable. He either wants to meet or he don't. He either follows through or he don't. I've stated my case. Initially he didn't respond back after I messaged him my number via linked in and suggested meeting up but I left it a few weeks and messaged him again saying I wasn't asking for his hand in marriage and I just thought he was a nice fella. I told him not to be a knob and to tell me about his travels! I also addressed the night he stayed at mine after a work shift but nothing happened. It had never been addressed before and I really do think that was a slight none of contention. Anyway, he text me right away after that.
Now he's a bit older and has a few more years of life under his belt it would be interesting to catch up.

I think i should learn that part..my Gemini rising makes it easy for me to make friends n then the scorpio gets emotionally involved.. I do get emotionally invested. I don't have any skill or knack for not getting emotionally invested. I often have rose tinted glasses on and have barked up the wrong tree many times.
I think what doesn't help is when there's other things in life that may not be going well. For example, I met the yank only six weeks after a major break up which affecting my personal life and work life. Chance meeting for one night which should have been left as just that but in a way I was looking to 'replace' that feeling I was missing. I took a chance which to be fair is very me but I put far too much hope on what could be rather than what it actually was. At the time, he was a distraction from the ex and also from work. He was someone and something else to focus on. Of course I didn't expect my trip to go quite as it did and he had stuff going on too which didn't help but it was a classic example of over investing and wearing the rose tinted!
Ultimately I did derive some benefit from the whole situation and he served his purpose. I think recognising the positives is helpful and also being realistic is a good thing. The worst thing you can do is kid yourself and pull the wool over your own eyes.
I think now I simply don't place as much importance on people or situations that don't warrant it. Generally my head has always ruled my heart. One ex said I didn't have a heart and I had a stone instead. That was quite hurtful actually but he only focussed on stupid little things and not the bigger picture.
It's also good to learn that it's actually 'ok' to say no to someone or something. It's 'ok' to say 'you know what, that doesn't work for me' or 'it's not what I'm looking for' or 'I don't want to be treated that way' etc. I think Taureans are particularly good at doing this. Maybe they are less emotionally focused or more selfish or self assured. I'm not sure of the answer. Maybe they have glasses which aren't tinted with as much rose!

Right!! That's true...i think we'll be more vulnerable when something else about our life isn't going well..I think we'll try to fill up a gaping void..I went through a similar thing too..!
