Hi all,
I'm a cappy happily (sooo happily!) dating a taurus for about 9 months. First off, thanks all for much insight into the bovine mind. 🙂 Y'all are invaluable and have really helped me.
One thing about this man is that he initiates important conversations when outside. I'm getting used to it but it used to catch me by surprise because I'd be hiking along, thinking about whatever random thing, when suddenly he'd ask a profound question or start talking about something close to his heart. It's such a pattern that now when he plans hikes in advance I know there's likely something on his mind that will come out during the hike.
In contrast, I start those conversations where I feel best and safest, i.e. cuddled up at home with the world shut out.
So, is it a taurus thing to be more emotionally open when out in nature? When do you guys/gals feel best about opening up? What elements do you need to be able to open up & share?
Thanks 🙂

They say Ireland is the home for most Bulls.

For me...
The scent of green grass, flowers, fresh air, and pleasant scents puts me in a euphoric state.
We're old souls in that way.
Feeling connected to mother nature.
Earth day is on my birthday, April 22 (go figure).
Picking apples from apple trees and making homemade apple pies makes me feel like a kid again.

I had this experience in NC...
When I returned to NYC, I was told I had a certain glow.

I have to enjoy bits of NC in Prospect Park (Brooklyn) 🙂

Being affectionate with us when we're out in public (enjoying nature)helps too.

Our guards are down.

We're vulnerable.

Like a kid again 🙂

Yes. Happiest and most soul free with Nature. ALL elements thrum in every cell. Earth, Water, Air and Fire. All of these give great pleasure and deep satisfaction, unlike anything else. To share it with someone is a gift.
When do I feel most comfortable opening up? When the mood strikes me, wherever that is. Outside though a Bull is definitely in their element, at primal level. No small wonder he feels at ease with all of life bouncing round. Glad you are happy with your Taurus. 🙂

OMG YES! Prospect Park is LOVELY especially during the Spring/Summer..its a delightful "patch" of nature.
My Ex Sag lived in BK, when I would visit him, we'd take walks there.
A perfect blend of "Nature-meets-citylife"..

@Catherinethegood:
For me.. After a loong winters, I come alive in the Spring... The air smells of FRESH new plants, flowers, Mulch, Freshly cut grass....*Sniiifff...aahhhh* Its So relaxing to be with nature and to admire all of her beauty!

I take walks especially when I feel stressed or alot is just spinnin through my mind, and its just too much to think indoors, I feel like the walls are closing in. So taking walks clears my mind, and its like a form of meditation of sorts, while taking deep breaths and exhaling, LISTEN to the sounds of nature..birds chirping, leaves rattling at the slightest breeze, trees swaying to and fro..if you're by water, watch the waves roll and the ripples... take all those moments in.

After I felt I have walked enough and/or my mind feels clearer, I feel satisfied and grateful that I've taken the time out with nature. and I even thank the Creator FOR creating nature.

Your Taurus wants to share those sights and his thoughts with you. I'd say its pretty awesome.

Thank you all for the comments!! I like hearing your perspective on this, the richness of the experience. It sounds spiritual for a Taurus to be in nature.
I think he'd echo all of your deep attachment to/enjoyment of it but he doesn't explain things as clearly as you three do. It gives me ideas for how to spoil him a bit with outdoorsy things to do.
1977, it's funny that you mention being like a kid -- he does play like a kid, running around just for the joy of motion. VB and Taurusbelle, I hadn't thought of it that way, that he wants to share the things he loves with me. When you put it that way it gives me warm fuzzies.

It is (to the bold), and I second all of the replies (esp. that bit about meditation) thus far. Being outdoors in nature (and near or/in the ocean is the best for me) is being truly at home. 🙂
