Actually, I feel silly, but I will tell you one of the things I have done. On New Year's Eve I got some really nice chocolate. Some of the kind that comes in the little foil wraps. There were several of us working, so I got enough for everyone.

I slit open one of the little foils and slipped a note into it. My little note said:

As you won't let me give you a kiss
for New Years,
I will give you some nice chocolate instead

I was actually in a different part of the building where we work, so I didn't see the initial response. The next day she was fairly cool. Still talked to me, but made no reference to chocolate or any such thing. What can I say, it all left me feeling just a bit confused, if not actually anxious.

I don't think she was angry, but I don't know if she was particularly impressed either.

It was really nice dark chocolate, btw.

Awww, see there? I'd have liked something like that. Admittedly I'm a sap...

So completely true! Everyone who knows me will tell you that when we first met, they were a bit intimidated, but after they got to know me, they realized what a softie I really am.

Two sides to a virgo though. I was married to one and he wasn't shy about approaching me at all. I dated one very briefly and he was extremely shy around me.

I gotta' tell you, I am not used to be intimidated by anyone. So, I feel it doubly disconcerting when she does.

As VB said in a different thread, whether you are 14 or 40...that "ACK" feeling can hit when you are around that one person.

@VB,you didn't seem sure if that problem persisted after age 40. It does. Just something for you whipper snappers out there to look forward to.

Lov you too Tate, I will not enter into anything that is not good for me. As a matter of fact I was rather broadsided with all of this. I am on pause, digesting information, letting it mull and steep. There is much to consider. Other factors at work. And dammit I wish you were here physically for coffee for advice.

I liken it to trying to stop a freight train head on taurusgirl.
