I am a Pisces female and have been dating a Taurus male (ten years older than me) for a year and a half. I am ready to run and hide, call it quits and finally shout. Sorry but I am at my wits end. He is very un affectionate, we hardly ever make love and he is completely wrapped up in himself.

Being a Pisces, we look for the best but I am constantly finding myself having to be the one to compromise and give in.

Before anyone says that he does not seem committed, he is, he loves me very much, I know this. I just think he has such a hard time trusting. My problem is that I am growing very tired of constantly having to compromise myself to prove to him that he can trust me.

He does not like hearing that he has done anything wrong or is not perfect so I find it very hard to talk to him about it. Sometimes I want to ignore him and play "hard to get" but I know that does not work because he sees that as disloyal and gets his back up.

Please give me advice. I don't know what to do, all that is happening now is that I feel like I just nag him constantly and its putting a big wall between us.

Hi Nessy,

Libra female here with a Taurus man. I have been confused from the beginning of our relationship due to the fact he is unlike all the Taurus people I know. This board has helped a bit, but everyday it is different things. First it was wasnt sure what he wanted, then the sexuality problems, now bossiness and having to do everything his way beacause it is the only way. Don't get me wrong, I hate to sound like I am bit*hing about him, its just that I dont understand. Lets start with the sexuality, I have started many a thread in the Taurus forum and let me tell you, from the responses it is just not normal for Taurus men to be like mine (well ours it sounds like). I havent been with mine as long and things are gradually getting better but he is not a typical Taurus by no means. "He does not like hearing that he has done anything wrong or is not perfect so I find it very hard to talk to him about it" I find the same problem, its hard to talk to him because I can see him just shut down if it in anyway makes him seem less than perfect. So, I totally feel for you. My guy is also 10yrs older, but I dont think age has anything to do with it. "Sometimes I want to ignore him and play "hard to get"." Now this I dont do intentionally but when my feelings are hurt or I am completely frustrated I crawl inside myself. It would seem Im playing hard to get but I just need some time to regroup. This seems to give him a chance to think as well and he becomes very sweet, but by that time sweetness doesnt help. And I said comes back sweet, didnt say he apologises. In spite of all the quirks he has qualities that most men do not and that is what keeps me with him. I just have to weight if the good out weights the bad. I know he is not going to change and I wouldnt want him too. I also know I am who I am and Im sure there are a buttload of things he finds less than perfect. I dont know if this helps, but let me tell you, the people on this board are fantastic. They will go out of their way to help you understand. Good luck!

Hi Nessy,

Well let me tell you. Im a Libra and libras love to chat, about everything including feelings. After a couple of months of not knowing what he wanted or where we were going with this relationship thing I just told him we needed to talk. Now by the look on his face I know he had heard that oh maybe a thousand times before, probably from every women he had ever been with. Once he realized I was not demanding anything he relaxed and told me what I needed to know. I asked him why is it so difficult for him to talk. He said he does not know, he has always been that way but he has been really trying the last few years to change that. He says he knows he needs to talk so he doesnt seem so secretive. He still never really offers up info, but is very quick to answer any question put to him. Ive never really thought about secretive, but I dont think that is his issue. But I could see where a women would take it that way. I think they are just afraid of rejection or maybe they might look like a fool or something. My guy even told me he is scared to death of rejection, that was a huge admittance for a Taurus male. I hope all that rambling helps, Sagitauries is really great with the feedback, hes a bull himself. Good luck sweetie..

lol, from the sounds of things we may be dating the same guy, you don't happen to live in SA do you?

Thanks for all your help. I got home last night, ready to "talk" and found him as sick as a dog. I spent most of the night jumping to "I'm cold, I need tea" or "I'm hot, please get a cold face cloth" I have been kicked, rolled over on and felt to sorry for him to say please turn on your side your snoring is driving me insane when he finally did manage to get some sleep. Hense I am exhausted. I had to throw in a "hell of a way to get of sex babe" which did not go down to well (*sigh*)

I think my prize will be a weekend away this weekend so I am looking forward to that.

Thanks again, I think the Taurus boys should be very grateful there are women like us out there who think they are the best things since sliced breed, because if it was not for the fact that I find him the most gorgeous, sexy, strong, wonderful man I have ever met, I would have killed him by now....lol

Your man says please—? Mine would just be barking orders, how did you get your guy to do that? lol Im in California but I know what you mean about them sounding like the same guy. There is a girl on here, If I didnt know better I'd swear she was my guy, she is a Taurus and gives great advice. I love your last paragragh, and yes, I think I would have at least dumped him by now.*W*
Hope you have a great weekend. Good luck.
