this lead from this movie sounds like a taurus?

So, I have been reading about the taurus (man's) characteristics on this forum, and also reading about it on the internet, and while watching this movie (flannel pajamas), I could not help but think, is this guy (the character) a taurus.

Some of the dialogues from him to his lady love and wife

"my greatest pleasure in life comes from doing things for the people in my life that I love"

"I want to treat you as I would a precious gem"

"let me prove the permanence of my love for you"

girl: why do you want to marry me?
him: it's time for me to protect someone. I choose you.

and last but not the least, he is jealous of his wife's closeness with her family. But ultimately (and sadly) his wanting his world to consist of ONLY him and his wife becomes the reason of his wife leaving him 😢 because she says he has to accept her with the people around her. Are taurus really possessive and loving and caring to the point of obsession. which sign would love to be with someone like them. I guess virgo's would understand and like this 'you and I' alone thing, crave change, but enjoy the permanence of such sentiment.

When I was out of town visiting my family, he would call and sort of drag out the conversation. And when I hinted that the call was taking up my time and I had an opportunity to catch up with my dad, he said things that sounded sincere like he understood that but when I tried to get off, he would say thing to guilt me into prolonging the conversation. He always try to manipulate me rather that force.

and there is one scene in the movie, where he hangs up on his dad to go talk to his wife, and she is on phone with her mom, and is surprised that he wants her to hang up on her mom. she says how could you hang up on your dad, and for what, to talk to me, about what. she says charm my mother, talk to her. if you want to charm me, i come with baggage, that you will have to lug around without minding 🙂. and yes, she slowly starts realizing that he made all decisions without asking what she wanted. i understand her feeling trapped, but to be honest, he did not seem evil at all, he just seemed to genuinely love her and want her all for himself.

hmm.. my earthy virgo side gets and likes his character, but my restless/mercurial virgo side gets his wife's character, and my analytical/critical virgo side sits and dissects this all hahaha

I can't imagine a Taurus actually verbalizing this, maybe writing it down in a love letter or poem. Or showing it through actions...like actually treating her like a precious gem, protecting her, being loyal...


I would guess this guy's a Leo or Scorpio with Leo placements...only because while reading this I envisioned him on a stage boasting about how grand his love is.lol Taurus' wouldn't talk about it, we would show it.
