Mad Men...Thurs. @ 10pm on AMC

Inspired 60's Ad Men of Madison Avenue. The ones who brought mass consumption to the American public.

Its very interesting due to the fact its a period show. Everyone is smoking CONSTANTLY, even pregnant mothers. There is no such thing as "Dont drink and drive." The women are expected to sleep with their bosses and its a petri dish of sexual harassment and adultery in the work environment. Woman are open and agreeing second class citizens...not all, but most. You were an outcast/menace if you were a divorced woman.

African-Americans arent given a second thought. Jews are despised. Asians are just weird.

Now I kinda understand the 70's rebellion better. When we talk about the good ol' days...dont know how "good" they actually were. Odd how this was only 40 yrs ago.



In short, I highly recommend.
