Netflix feature. I think this is one of the best I've seen, considering I've seen "King henry Viii" series and was bored with it. lol and also Queen Mary of Scots series was, more as if I was watching some Twilight series. lol

anyway it's really well done. you get to understand the history, and the relations and importance of the Monarchy and the symbolism.

SPOILERS...

I was wondering why Prince Philip, her husband, who is Gemini sun/Taurus venus, married to ( Queen Taurus sun/Leo moon, Pisces Venus/ Aquarius mars, Elizabeth's husband) why he is so restless and wants to do so many things! sometimes, he acts like a Peter Pan, a boy, wanting to learn flying lessons, and petulant about not wanting to bow to his queen, felt like his manhood was in compromise too. lol

But then I saw he is Gemini sun Gemini mars. Leo moon. Taurus venus. It was the Gem sun/Gem mars. and maybe his pride, the leo part was petulant of not bowing to a queen since he felt that he should be by his wife's side not bow to her. lol

edit,

anyway, he is highly mutable so he should always bow down to his queen. lol

I agree. I really enjoyed the series. I'm quite patriotic, even though I don't feel compelled to salute the monarchy. I enjoyed the episode with the artist and Sir Winston Churchill. Very well acted and written.
I was really into it too, by looking up who is who and when King George died and I was also shocked about Elizabeth's father was not the first choice, since his brother decided to go for a divorced woman. Wow, for the monarcy, marrying divorcee's are a huge scandal.

guess Prince Charles let his mother Elizabeth down not just by marrying a divorcee but having affiars with Lady Camille Bowles. No wonder she refuses to give the crown even though she is so ancient.

I was actually reading the biography of poor Diana before she passed. she was going through a lot of /series of relationships because she so desperately needed to be with someone to love.

" After Harry's birth, Diana knew that Charles was seeing Camilla. She felt rejected and betrayed and was tormented, in despair. She looked for help from psychics, mediums, astrologers. The media noted that she saw astrologer Penny Thornton and medium Betty Falko. Angry and rebellious, she saw her marriage as a sham.

Friends with her sister-in-law, Duchess Sarah of York, they played rowdy jokes, skied and went to the races and night clubs together. Diana later broke off their friendship when she found Sarah's memoir to be hurtful and would not speak to Sarah or answer her phone calls. By 1987, she and Charles were separated much of the year. "

and here it states she regretted telling the world about her affairs, because of the "position" she's in too.

"She began a series of doomed affairs, looking for love in the arms of single and married men, affairs carried out with the utmost secrecy. She was obsessive in her relationships, wanting the man's entire attention and acceptance. According to James Hewitt in his autobiography, released in 1994, he and Diana started their affair in 1986 and continued for five years. He was originally hired as her riding coach and they spent a great deal of time at Windsor Great Parks. Hewitt claims that Diana made the first move for the affair with a kiss in the officers' mess at Windsor, becoming more bold by inviting him to the family's country home in Highgrove. He claims to have given Diana a lot emotionally, stating the affair with him increased her confidence.

Andre Morton's book came out in June 1992, a book that she had helped create with private interviews. She deeply regretted her indiscretion as she had told too much and betrayed her world. The book was scandalous, and Diana denied her involvement. Her reputation was further damaged by a series of tapes of intimate phone calls she had made with a lover. Both she and Charles publicly announced their infidelities and the question of whether or not the heir to the throne of England might divorce became an international discussion. "

I didn't even know about the Book she helped write. :/

I think personally just being married into the royal family wasn't meant for her. especially not to Prince Charles. the good thing out of that union were their children for sure!

I think they did a biography film on Diana too.

it's funny because in the film Prince Charles says what about my role as a King? lol

and Queen Elizabeth says, you were promised nothing! your role as her husband should be tended to, basically. But he didn't seem too happy. He was looking forward to being a King.

This is good if you need something to help you sleep. Total snoozer for me....

I tried to get into it. It moves so slow and I just find all that UK royalty stuff so uninteresting. Its like the ultimate for celebrity/tabloid types though...
yes it is very very interesting. I love historical stories and true life dynastic past intrigues.

I didn't even know that Princess Diana, according to the astro.com site, that she was having affiars with both single and married men. Being unloved really pushed her to the terrible zone. 😢

poor Diana, I don't think she really liked that.

hm I guess no one really is interested in UK monarchy and monarchy in general...

I really like this episode...it showed a lot of Princess Margaret's personality.

She was brash, and different, very DRAMATIC....she's Leo sun/Aries rising/Cancer moon...

and was in love with a Sag Rising, Scorpio sun/Capricorn moon Peter Townsende,

but it was not meant to be ....she married a Pisces, later, but it was not the love of her life....she still pangs and longs for the Sag rising/Scorpio/Cap moon man...
