So my Internet research confirm the two deaths I thought. Sigh. Sad days
It was sad. Totally depressing episode. I expected Glenn to die at anytime on this show in keeping with the comic book script, but I didn't expect a two-fer.
The show has lost two of it's best, most cunning and ferocious fighters. Nothing that is done to Negan in future episodes could ever be bad enough to make up for it.
I'm just relieved that Daryl is still alive.

With Daryl not being a comic character his story can go anywhere. I pray he is around for very long as he is a much loved character

Exactly. That's why I never bought the hype that it was Daryl who would die last night. One could say the same of Carol Peletier. She died early on in the comics so her character is free to go anywhere too.
I knew Glenn was going to die as well. I felt like they were prepping us for it in past episodes and the comic as well. For Maggie to become who she has to become, Glenn had to die.
Why do all of Sasha's men have to die lol
My heart was about to break tho if he had to cut off his sons arm

Can I just ask the question.... is Daryl's actions to blame for Glenn. What you all reckon is this going to do to him... will he feel responsible?
They killed TWD....it's finished...bye.
How long until they get out of this hell? 3 seasons? More? Who cares....it's finished either way. Thanks for 3 or 4 good seasons....

On one hand you could say yes, because if it wasn't for Daryl getting out of line after they had been warned of what would happen, Glenn would have probably lived.
Then again. Neegan didn't have to do it. It's not like he was forced to kill Glenn or Abraham for that matter. He could have kept them hostage and fucked with them like he did Rick. Neegan is the murderer here. He is the one to blame, right?
Just depends on how you view it. I have already seen a lot of people debating over this since the episode aired last night.

He had to...he's in such a position of power...Daryl didnt take it seriously enough...l guess the idea there is...dumb southerner....

Hands up.... I don't know. Was chatting to a friend who used to read the comics and this is what he told me his personal view was. I'll ask him for more details

Did he REALLY have to though? Think about that for a moment.
Being in a position of power does not demand that you murder another human being to get your point across. There are many different ways someone can be punished to get the point across that don't involve death.

I still miss my husband from a million seasons ago.
Ahhh Shane was the best, the scene after he shot Otis in the leg and shaved his head in the fogged up mirror with the wildness in his eyes... I miss Dale, expected Rick to flashback to him when he was on top of the RV in last night's episode.

you can find Shane's character, well the actor, in the 2nd season of Daredevil. (if youre interested in this guy's acting) He's a real asshole here too, even as Punisher.
me and my husband love watching the series. He does mostly, I just follow along. lol but I like it.
and I love Z Nation a lot, more than WD. we stopped watching WD.
From another angle, this was all Maggie's fault for allowing Enid to cut her hair. Cutting hair severs the bond between your magical self and reality and you have less power to control events metaphysically because of that. After the chop, Maggie experiences severe pain, develops a fever. Rick & crew must get her to the hilltop for medical treatment, but they get trapped by by Saviours all around, then running out of gas, they get captured. Negan kills her husband, Glenn. Rick loses his hand - in the comic version he does anyway, and is emotionally emasculated rendering him a weaker leader. Daryl is locked away and no longer part of the "family".
All because of a haircut. Just a different spin on events.

I knew it would be Abraham or Glenn but I didnt think both ...I was sad but relieved when Abraham got it because it wasn't Glenn ,and then my whole world crumbled!! 100% didn't see it coming at all.

As sick as it is. I like Negan's character. There is fear and respect there. In the comics Negan and Carl have a kind of respect for one another... despite the obvious. But it was clear to see their relationship building in the last episode. I mean Negan would of killed anyone else immediately if they did what Carl did.
Loved the mid-season finale! It was sooo good to see the family back together again with the exception of Morgan and Carol. I'm looking so forward to seeing Rick get his attitude back on!
