Posted by Vixen2THANK YOU. π
Yes, they do run big...just slightly but is good because you can wear thick socks (pisces and the loathing of frigid feet)
But I adore mine...I got mine in brown so they would look more like boots and go with my purses etc. Sturdy damn things.

Posted by CopperDoveThanks for showing. π
Thanks for calling! π They look great! I don't have anything by this company but I'm going to consider it. I've read good things about the durability.
If you don't opt for them, or even if you do, another option is the brand Aigle (French maker) with their Miss Juliette line because Aigle's Miss Juliette rubber boots are more slim fitting than most. I have two pairs of them and find them very comfortable and attractive, and of course protective. I use one pair for gardening and the other for being out and about in wet weather.

Posted by CopperDoveOh my....
You're welcome. π
I'm always glad to learn about slim and refined options with things like boots!
Aigle has been around since the 1800s and has a good reputation for producing high quality rubber boots, so worth a look!

Posted by Montgomeryπ I'm glad that I discovered this brand. I did because I was on a mission to find quality rubber boots that were simple yet stylish and not bulky, and of course suitable for a petite frame. Why not be chic even in the most practical situations, right? πPosted by CopperDoveVery!
Yes! π That is an elegant example of what Aigle can do. Sleek!

Posted by Vixen2Worth it... and that's where I'm coming from too.
I did a lot of research and looking at various rubber boots/rain boots online and in person and to be honest, they are fancied in England as classics (Wellies or Hunter boots) for a reason. I haven't seen a pair yet that can match the superior thickness, flexibility and sturdiness of the Hunter Boots imo. They are pricey but worth it.

Posted by MontgomeryMe too! Very uncomfortable and being petite it can make us look like we're kids wearing our parents footwear, lol.Posted by CopperDoveExactly... It's a jungle down here-- I want something that's going to last
and I'm willing to pay for it.
They're both fabulous.

Posted by Vixen2I remember.... I knew you could commiserate.Posted by MontgomeryI feel you...I'm in the same state remember...perfect for rainy season and great for outdoor events that may be muddy....think "Coachella" fashion staple. But I use mine out to garden too because I don't like snakes....I bought mine when I lived in New England because they worked just as good in the snow & slush with thick socks too.Posted by Vixen2Worth it... and that's where I'm coming from too.

Agiles are durable, but the Miss Juliette line isn't as rugged as other options offered by Aigle that are work boots and bulkier in style, or Wellies or Hunter boots, I imagine. I didn't need something super rugged, but I live in a rural area with dirt roads with lots of rocks and twigs and mud and the Aigle Miss Juliettes have protected me well from all of that, in style. πclick to expand

I guess we don't do socks so much in wArmer climes?
I have like two pairs of socks... for 'winter' I just get those
fuzzy little socks (that you don't wear with shoes) for when
it's too cool to run around barefoot.
me i only wear socks if walking in the shoe would give me blisters without them but shoes last longer if you sock up anyway.
i had rubber soled loafers i used for travel and they were horrible for walking around a city. wet feet! since then i've been afraid to get anything with a rubber sole aside from sneakers.click to expand

The woman in this pic is 5' or 5'1... wearing the packable version.
I'm tired of tromping thru the rain in my good shoes... but these
I think I love.
I've read they run big though, and would like to know if any of you
have gotten a pair (or something you like better?) before I order.
Lookin at you @Copperdove.
If you would please. π

Posted by skyeopA good deal! Sometimes I find lower prices on them in the US and Canada via the stores that stock them, with sales and such. But for the latest style s they offer, buying them directly from the site likely is best.

Investigate Palladium boots. They're very light and have excellent sole grip.
I wore Doc Martens for years but now prefer Palladiums for casual wear.
