I decided to treat myself to a brazilian done with a laser. The first consultation is in a week.

Have any of you ladies gotten professional laser hair removal done on any part of your body? Have you been satisfied with the results? Which laser was used, do you know? I'm interested because there seems to be a lot of mixed reviews. Also, did you feel any pain during the procedure?

I know it's gonna be quite the long project but I'm feeling so excited! 🙂

clooneyyears: Haha I can sort of understand. I mean, it's not natural. Maybe it's an acquired taste, or I've just been watching the videos for too long 🙂 now that's kinda sad!

DonJohnson: Good to hear! If it works on Persians, it's gotta work on me too 😄 There's some amazingly beautiful women in Middle East.. And maybe even hairier than me, haha.

Everything: Right, I guess there could be some possible side effects.. Cancer in a sense that the treated skin becomes more sensitive to sunlight. I read somewhere you should keep the lasered area out of sun exposure for up to six months. I'm pretty sure the wave length of the laser light won't cause much damage where it isn't desired, but I am not entirely sure. Let me know if you find any interesting studies on it, I'd appreciate it 🙂 I'm not too worried about the sun because we don't get much of it here and I don't do the nudist beaches, but a risk is a risk.. Scandinavia's a great place to live, definitely!

SpiceNSugar: Nice to hear you also have a positive experience. I have fair skin and very dark hair, so hopefully it'll work. Thanks for the tip, I'll bring it up in the consultation (if they don't).

i did a year, full body... they say it takes more than a year though. i'd say so. eventually i'll get another yr membership. even with one year of treatment, my grooming process is sooo much easier. i have maybe 1/5th as much hair... maybe.

i highly recommend if you shave legs, pits and like the nude look for your lady parts. yes it does work better with darker hair... but only in the beginning. even with dark hair, eventually through your treatment your hair will get thinner and lighter and becomes trickier to target anyways, which is why they say it'll take 2 yrs for a thorough job.

it does get a little painful after a few treatments as they increase the intensity. getcha some numbing cream. i had my doc prescribe lidocaine and applied an hour before going in for a treatment.
