This is actually a dual purpose post. First obviously is to identify anyone else that's down with some good angry rock or just any metal in general and what do you listen to. Bonus points if you play an instrument too!

Second. Since a Virgo trait is an appreciation of the arts and all things creative, I would be willing to bet that extends to a well-rounded appreciation of music in general. Sure everyone has a genre that they prefer to listen to over the others but would most of us on here claim that they like many types of music?

I do. My taste ranges from classical music to metal to pretty acoustic songs to some rap to some country to some techno and on and on.

People who limit their musical tastes to a genre, are just missing out.
It's like going to the ice cream parlor and buying Vanilla all the time.

I personally listen to almost everything.
Mozart to Megadeth
Hans Zimmer to Haley and the Comets
Tupac to Tchaikovsky
Journey to John Debney
R.Kelly to Rammstein

Lacrimosa, Rhapsody and After Forever come to mind.

My absolute favourite though is the music that is used in epic movies, trailers and videogames.

Yeah.

Heavy metal, Death metal, Doom metal, Stoner metal, speed metal, thrash metal, and war metal.

I\'m okay with progressive metal, power metal, black metal and dark metal.

Also, I enjoy rock (the many variations that come with the genre), punk (hardcore, crust, pop), and even foreign music made by pagans also known as folk music.

Synth-pop, tencho, house, blues, jazz, r% b, soul, and the one genre made entirely from smokey Robinson, disco, and so fourth...

I also play guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, and harmonica, and i can also sing. 🙂

Haha silly Sorti I meant homegrown stuff. Stuff from your own creation. I placed a rinky dink player in my profile but apparently it will only play the initial 5 mins of our songs. For the full length songs you can check out www.myspace.com/rayandjerryscreations

I use to play in a band, but I haven't done anything since. Well, a buddy of mine has been asking me to create some music with him, and i'll join him because he is a fascinating drummer, and i will check out your band dude!!!

Are you guys going to re-record these songs as soon as you guys find a singer?

Although the music is great and each song doesn\'t really lose any power, the recording is still a tad weak, but I\'ll understand if you guys don\'t care because the recording quality to clean up the songs are pretty pricey. But if you guys want to be kvlt then keep the raunchy fuzzy noise. 😄

Again, I noticed that several of the power ballads you guys have created such as battle for tomorrow, stream line, and king\'s legacy has noticeable effect changes from clean to distortion, but that may be from the way you guys recorded the songs. Are you guys using a mac computer program to record these songs?

You guys have direction, and your music doesn\'t have any forms of choppiness when you guys go from the clean setting to the heavy settings or sloppy guitar work by the speed of the music. Although we all hate to hear the negative feedback, but I want to be honest with ya! Even though the music is quite powerful, the songs should spark more enthusiasm, but maybe if a vocalist were to sing the verses you guys have on each song then the music would be more exciting.

Good job man! If you are a guitarist then you are an excellent song writter/composer.

Sort I appreciate all the in-depth feedback. Always looking for more ways to improve. Yes we are a two man band playing all the parts except vocals. We've never had a singer so we are used to letting the guitars tell the story, hence some of the very lengthy songs. We use a recording program called Cool Edit Pro. With that we can clean up some of the hiss and pops and clicks but still doesn't convey the actual sound coming out of the amp 100% . I guess for that we'd need better mics. The program is the absolute shiznit and we haven't even learned probably half of what it is capable of and that's after toying with it for over a decade.

Did you listen all the way through each song for guitar solos and Family guy quotes lol. Most of our songs endings have Jerry doing the first solo and then I'm finishing.

As far as who's doing what instrument here's the breakdown.

Serpents Labirynth - I wrote all guitar
Ray on both guitars.
Jerry on bass & drums.

King's Legacy - Both wrote guitar
Ray on one guitar
Jerry on other guitar, bass & drums

Battle for Tomorrow - Both wrote guitar
Ray on multiple guitar parts
Jerry on multiple guitar parts, bass & drums

Fight the Stars - Jerry wrote all parts and plays all parts

Alliegance (Rusting Follows) - Both wrote guitar
Ray on multiple guitar parts, bass & digital drums
Jerry on multiple guitar parts

Streamline - Both wrote guitar
Ray on multiple guitar parts & digital drums
Jerry on multiple guitar parts & bass

Distance Down - Ray wrote body of song on guitar
Ray on Guitar
Jerry on Clean guitar parts & drums & final guitar solo
