Definiton of Masculine, and Femine

Hey!! VE again; new post; same rules; BUT NOW....IT'S A FREE FOR ALL!! LOL!! I wanna know what is the determining factor of masculine, and feminine when it comes to the zodiac. I am a Virgo, but am direct, and take initiative, and am open and honest with folk; don't get me wrong, I have my shy moments, and my need of privacy, but from the quality of behavior alone, wouldn't Virgo be considered masculine? They approach things mentally, and weigh options, to come to a 'logical' result....yet they are called 'feminine'...simply....why?

Sure, dy...then what is masculinity then? You either wish to be by mothers side, or wish to test YOUR OWN WORTH; you can't be a 'winged rock' ya know?....I guess I don't understand your explanation; could ya give me more?

1. Moodiness
2. Need for trust and privacy
3. Devotion to care and pleasing of your partner
4. Sensitivity
5. Intuition
6. Reputation for not being highly sexed (not you Dyr, you've got a Taurus Moon)
7. Need for security and stability

It doesn't classify you as feminine, but you do not fear your feminine side. I find many Virgo males wish to experience sexual dominance by a woman; a desire to be submissive. I think it may have to do with their so-called slow, sexual responsiveness. Whoa, but when you do respond, YOOOOZUUUUUUUUUUUR.

Fire and Air signs are considered "masculine" b/c they're more active, outgoing, etc. Earth and Water signs are considered "feminine" b/c they're naturally more nurturing and passive. Though, a person's moon or rising sign may modify this.

Anyway, yes, I've thought of that too...more mind over emotion is a big swing between male reactions and women reactions, so I'm with you virgoexalted...Virgo(as a whole, not just virgo men) should be a masculine sign.

When it comes to myths, anything's possible...but come on. Virgo's a freakin angel with wings, but it's an earth type! I know it's attitude and profile is that of earth, but the symbol doesn't relate to the profile...

BigD, you know me, and I AM PHYSICALLY VIRGO; born September 6; what is earthly about the disposition of Virgo? I think it's all a bunch of hog-wash; we are practical, level-headed, and are usually of the mental plane of existence, which RIGHT THERE states there is a 'duality' or a 'misconception' of the sign: I have never been a passive person either, I usually am very blunt, or honest, and typically engaging, and direct,in conversation AND my Moon sign is in the 'heart' that's right; CANCER. I don't exactly see what is 'nurturing' and 'passive' of virgo; the temperment seems windy in that it is a type to blow in and out from time to time, and live in a 'mind over heart' fashion: what is nurturing or 'passive' in that? I think Virgo should take libra's quality of Cardinal, and vice versa; it just makes logical sense.

I think virgos, (especially YOUNG ones) are initially afraid of those primitive energies; we hold back sexually becuase these powerful feelings, and passions can 'disrupt' the 'sanctity' of our Virgoan nature: I used to have a 'angelic' disposition, so the mere thought of sex disturbed me.... in order to cope with this confliction, life is expressed through logical detachment, or 'casual, meaningless sex' for a Virgo: it allows her to feel 'comfortable' with this obvious need that she feels ashamed of.... we have EXPLOSIVE sexual energy that like scorp can smolder, but UNLIKE SCORP, we fear it....I did.

we fear this energy becuase it is so 'deep'; it is so primal a virgo, has a hard time with it; a earth element wouldn't normally be so effected by sex; they'd behave in reserve but the expression in the heat of the moment wouldn't disturb their mind; with a young Virg, touch is hard to do; for me it is hard becuase I love so deeply, I almost loose control..... everything is entesified, and magnified....it's so close, and personal it gets scary, but exciting.
