Gemini-virgo

I've been seeing a Virgo male for almost a year, no commitment yet because we both travel a lot. The way I understand relationships is that if I am seeing someone, I won't get intimate with more than one person at a time. He felt this way as well and we had an understanding. I am into empaths and such and I have a friend who introduced me to an empath. I have never met this man before and he knows nothing about me. I emailed him to find out whether I should continue the relationship with Mr. Virgo because I wouldn't want to be wasting my time if it wasn't meant to be. To my surprise he said that Mr.Virgo had found someone else and was deciding how he was going to get rid of me. He also said that he wasn't being straightforward with me and that he only felt love for me on a friendship level. Now that left me confused and I believed what this empath said initially until I confronted Mr. Virgo and told him that he should have been honest with me. He denied everything and since I was a bit skeptical about the info, i was more inclined to believe him and to believe he wouldn't honestly lie bare faced to me. Now I am confused because I dont know what to believe.
