a few months ago, I met a psycho of a virgo who lied and I found out that he tried to sleep with my friend's friend too while I was away. At that point we were emailing each other every week but once i found out, I gave him a piece of my mind and ceased all communication. Since then, virgo guy has been emailing me every two weeks but always a one-liner. I never replied to any. e.g. Past month hes been asking for my phone number and whatsapp (which I didnt give ofc) and today hes asked if we can plan a holiday together. I was contemplating of saying stg along the lines of 'he can shove his plans where the sun dont shine'. Is there any way I can make him stop contacting me?

Why can't women just say STAY AWAY FROM ME I WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU??

I already know the answer, I just thought I'd throw that out there for the women who really don't know what to do when they REALLY don't want contact from a particular man.

Block features work...women out here in NY have no problem changing there number a few times to really get rid of troublesome attention.

It's actually women all over the globe. Those that complain about this sort of thing, IMHO, actually like the attention. You don't even need to change the number in some instances, you just ignore them...the sane ones get the clue. I can't speak for the ones with a few loose screws though, they don't listen, they need the police to get it.

+1 to that solution, though acclimatizing your contacts to use the new email could cause a hiccup in work flow...if you are using a web based browser like gmail...then you could just filter his emails straight to trash...if ur company is utilizing something like Microsoft outlook you could look into IP blocking....its unlikely he would go through the trouble of changing his IP address so its a safe bet..

Re: IP blocking, I could do that? Awesome! I know he uses his work email at home and the office and i gues shis blackberry and phone. Dont know how that works but will have a chat w the IT tech. thanks for the idea!

Personally, I would enjoy the attention if I have feelings for the 'harasser'. with this guy, I dont like it cos I see no point in hanging onto things which are not going to benefit me and to me, once someone lies to me, I definitely dont need this loser in my life. clearly he has a few loose as its been months already🙂 his persistence is impressive though, is that a virgo thing? lol

I've never been with a virgo man so I don't know lol. +1 on the rest of your post though. And btw, some of them even do it for YEARS, the insane ones I mean. They make it very hard for you to move on. Better hope that he is not one of the creepy ones, believe me, you don't want to go years trying to get away from someone who has nothing better to do than harrass you. It's tiring even when there are feelings involved because all you want to do is forget & move on with life..but you can't do that with a shaddow from the past. So do it now or you'll regret it.

This is why he continues to still contact you....

You DO have feelings for him...hence...the purpose of this thread.

There was a Virgo I dealt with during my undergraduate years, I wasn't interested in pursuing anything with him. He was immediately 'friend zoned.' He tried to navigate his way around it by suggesting we take a mini vacation...I said sure, "My girlfriends and I are planning a trip to New Orleans, you're more than welcome to tag along." That was his last phone call. He got the hint.

Because most Virgos are fairly practical individuals, they can always tell the difference when actions are stemming from emotions and when someone just isn't plain interested.

Your emotional response gave him a gateway.

He knows you're emotionally invested, and you're loving his persistence.

Either way, he's still a jerk. Don't give him the benefit of the doubt.

This is exactly why one should not give a person they are simply dating full access to their life. Is there some reason he needed to have your work email when he already had your personal phone number/contact info? I find more and more people are blurring lines (allowing their personal life bleed into their work life) and give every possible type of access to themselves (FB, BBM, emails, work number, etc) so they can be in contact every seconds of the day and then scramble afterward blocking this/changing that/involving strangers (e.g. boss/co-workers)--basically turning your life upside down when it ends when it could be avoided if they didn't blur lines.

Perhaps keep that in mind the next time you're simply dating someone.

And yeah, regarding the OP use the block feature, change your number, blah, blah, blah....all the things I'm sure you already know and heard.

You can have him blocked from the server or set up your filters so you don't receive the email, but it looks like it goes through on their end.

Irrespective of how I felt about him before, doesn't change the fact that he was a sleazeball I could do without - which was why I asked for help. And I haven't gotten in touch with him since I found out so, I thought it would be more straightforward to cease all communications.

I think Ive mentioned above that he could still make up new email addresses so blocking him only to find that hes got a new one which escapes filtration system can be rather annoying

I find your short rant amusing. Thanks for the dating tips, im sure Ill need it...
It really isnt as dramatic as you made it out to be, though it does get annoying. Re: work email, we did some business together for my company before I moved away - does that answer your question? Moreover, being a slow cap, I didn't even trust him with my facebook (not that im always on that thing anyway) as at the time, id only known him for a short while so he only has my work email and he used to have my digits which ive changed.

When in reality, you haven't ceased all communication because you still open his emails to see what he is saying ..... even the day you made this thread, you said, "today" ...

So, actually, you're still interested in what he has to say.

Since you're lying to us .. you're likely still talking to him and giving him the impression to continue with the contact.

The option to ignore him has been available .. an email is easily deleted. But, you don't do that.

Nope, you open and read the mail.

You're not fooling me .. maybe others .. but, not me.

You're playing him, and coming here and acting virtuous ..... it's written between the lines for whoever wants to acknowledge it.

LOL. I actually find the fact that you felt the need to answer my post amusing--after all, it was only a rant right? Not as dramatic as I am making it out to be? Okay, yet you posted:

Meh. Simply telling a person it's over and never hearing from them again because they only have my cell phone seems less "dramatic" to me than having to change my number, possibly changing my email at work and involving —ppl I see everyday?? or asking a bunch of random strangers on a message board how to get it to stop, but that's just me. And according to you, men that lie and don't know how to take no for an answer are "psychos".

Anyway, I'm glad you found my "rant" amusing, especially since it was based on information you didn't share until now. Sounds like you got it all figured out now though. Double score!! A good laugh and a solution to your problem. Cheers.
