On the way home last night, I was listening to the radio when a newscaster called his little 91 year old granny to talk to her about the 'Holidays'. He mentioned that he had noticed that Christmas has become so 'politically correct' that no mention of Christmas is made by most retailers, we now wish people 'Happy Holidays.'

His granny said she missed the Old Fashioned Christmas when everyone wished each other 'Merry Christmas'.

I thought about it and agree...so this year I will be making a conscious effort to wish everyone Merry Christmas...my way of saying that I am celebrating the fine tradition of Christmas. So I'm asking my email buddies, if you agree with me, to please do the same.

And if you'll pass this on to your email buddies, and so on...maybe we can prevent one more treasured tradition from being lost in the sea of 'Political Correctness.'

God Bless and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

QB,

I pretty much HATE the holiday's but I got bent a few years back from people that we're so into the holidays but didn't bother to give "Merry Christmas". From what I picked up it was either because they couldn't say it (Due to work policies), religious conflicts, or we're too self involved in their own crap to remember the spirit of these days. So I kind of started what you're doing and made a conscious effort to just say "Merry Christmas" when I'm out and about taking care of my business.

What ended up kind of cool about the whole thing is how people reacted to it. You'll find people just utterly surprised someone actually remembered. If its towards someone thats working where you're shopping, you might actually catch their face light up over.

You might also find it funny with how people respond back. You may get a lot of people who will start responding with "Merry Chr..." then they'll remember they can't say it and then change it to "Happy Holidays, sir". You'll also find people just stoked that someone was nice to them with a greeting in the spirit rather than typical holiday rudeness and they'll pratically shout back "Merry Christmas!"

Have fun with the reactions and responses. Made it all worth it 🙂

And oh...
Guys and Gals...Merry Christmas *Huge Ass DXP hug*
