Please be safe 😢

I hope you're prepared, and have places to go should you need to evacuate.

I was so hoping this would get downgraded, at least a little--but no breaks.

Please be careful, and stay indoors if you can.

I'm kind of used to hurricanes because I'm from Southern VA and we're always getting hit (I mean, it's getting hit right now, but I'm up by DC now). I'm not too worried that it'll be damaging, but I'm a little upset if it gets in the way of my birthday festivities. I'm also not too worried about a Cat 2 compared to a Cat 4 or 5 because I've been in worse, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for no flooding and such.

Thanks for the sentiments, CLC. You stay safe too in NY 🙂

For the rest of us,who don't experience this every season,we're taking this seriously.Everyone stay safe.

Im also from new york this won't do nothing to new york they had the same type years ago those building are strong. I would worry about SC and NC they flood easily. But a tip if its not class 3 and up its nothing to worry about. The news just don't have anything else to do.

Yup.It's a cat 1 now.News reports say it's going slightly inland. Not broken up so far.By the time it hit NYC.Winds and high tide could push water into harbor and it has no where to go but land .Happening in about 12 hrs.

Should be here at my place by 6am until like 3pm. Should be mostly rain. I enjoyed the mass hysteria I witnessed the last 2 days. Bread and water selling out everywhere. The retailers love the panic. Panic = Profits.
