What's Your Talent, Virgos?

Supposedly Virgos are very creative, especially in the arts.

I write (poetry/songs/novels), sing, play piano, knit and crochet, and draw portraits of people

I also have had a talent reading tarot cards (been reading them for 15 years now, I love them and am amazed at how much I was initially drawn to them, as if I were meant to read for others)

So what's your talent?

Mine is drawing and kicking butt at arm wrestling.

mines is astrology technology i like figure out how something works and fixing cpu etc.

Artistic Virgos I think are more 1st and 3rd decan.

My talents are graphics, editing, latin dancing, languages, accents, explaining and many others.

I'm into graphics too--that's my major, computer graphics and animation 🙂

Writing. I suck so bad at vocal naration though. Comes hand in hand with sucking at speech.

Never chose to sharpen the drawing skills. If I was good at drawing anatomy I'd have a sketchbook full of marital love. *starry eyes*

I'm pretty good at sorting things.

CLCNY30 you're pretty talented.. I like to sketch n' sing as well. Writing I would do once in awhile, but it's not entirely my thing.. lol.

Um usually like being involved in sports in general.. anything active. I'm a pretty quick mover.

Besides that.. Graphics is fun to tweak around with etc.. or thinking up ideas, visually.

I want to progress further into Photography and travel. At least those are my hopes lol

Yeah, I'm like that vocally as well--people say I have a nice speaking voice (even been told I should be a phone sex operator! Even by family!!!! The horror!!!) but I'm so nervous when eyes are on me or I have too much attention directed towards me face-to-face.

I'm Sept 10th, and I have no clue--I just recently started to look into moon, and rising/ascendants, I had no clue about them before then.

My stepfather used to try to teach me astrology as a little girl, because he claimed "ALL Virgos are into astrology" and...well...you know how we are--you tell us we MUST do something, and we raise our eyebrows, draw our heads back a little, smirk, fold our arms, and DARE you to make us.

It wasn't until I started dating that I realized certain signs seemed drawn to me (Cancers, and ESPECIALLY Pisces) and wanted to look into them more, before I killed them, because lawdhavehismercy @ some of them...

I have a penchant for anything of the occult and have been trying to teach myself the "traditonal" way to read tarot cards. I make jewelry and paint as well...watercolor is my favorite medium.🙂

I had to take a painting class a few years back, and was just not happy, lol. I was using acrylics, and felt like I was back in kindergarten--I just could NOT get the effects I wanted! I meant to try oil, but...then I saw how expensive that is, and said "pencil and paper it is!"

And yeah, I swear I was meant for these tarot cards. They've really helped me to stay calm about a lot of things, given me warnings (that my knuckleheaded stubborn Taurus moon ignored a lot, and then cried over later), and allowed me to help others.

It freaks me out that my mother saw me doing them at our kitchen table at 15, and said not a word--as if she knew I was supposed to. Supposedly, witchcraft runs in the family (but not the good kind)--good old fashioned Brujeria.

I did try my hand at White Magic at around age 18/19, and yeah...it just didn't feel right.

^^ the same in my family, but the women were "healers"/"wise women/"midwives" on my Paternal Grandfathers side in Wales. It's facinating what a little research can do with the help of ancestry.com believe it or not! Your work is beautiful btw. I can't do oil or acrylic either, but my sister can and I hate that (sibling rivalry)!

Brujeria huh? Same here.. My mom and most of the women in my dad's family were into black magic. Dead animals, salt, broken glass, wilted roses at your door.. Etc. And then we had the ones who claimed to heal also... And claimed to work under the presence of God or la Muerte w/e.. And then we have the sub of all of those that branch out..

It's a whole different world. It's very interesting.

My uncle married a black magic witch. She killed him like her previous 4 hubbies.

I'm the opposite--I really don't like eating. It's to the point where my Dr. has gotten on my azz, because my cholesterol is too low. I'm like "REALLY— Isn't that better than HIGH??"

I eat once a day--during lunch, a simple meal, and I'm full for the rest of the night. I don't know wtf...

Creative talents? Lets see...
1. Writing - I can make decent with the pen. Spent a lot of my 20's doing a bit of creative writing and design
2. Music - Always had music in my life and in my head. Learned the piano as a child. Absolutely enjoying learning the guitar right now.

Misc talents
1. Good with my hands - Decent under the hood of a car and computers equipment, etc
2. Fairly comfortable speaking in public. Both in presence and in word.

I'm dying to learn the guitar. That's my next endeavor, I've promised myself.

I kept saying that myself and one day I just said "Fuck it! I'm buying a guitar TODAY" and off I went to Guitar Center. It's fun! With your piano background, it should come with ease.

I can make a piece of boot leather taste good, and if I must I can feed 4 people for a week on 30 dollars. Less if I got craftier yet.

I can play clarinet, I sing.

Forget 'Trading Spaces'. I can take an 11 dollar can of paint and 50 dollars at a kicking garage sale and decorate two rooms. This is a challenge and a thrill all wrapped into one.

I can sew. I even know how to darn socks.

I paint. Acrylics because I am impatient. I like how they blend and dry quickly, immediate gratification. I also fabric paint which is excellent for children and gifts. They'd see an expensive t they 'had to have' and I'd take a 3 dollar Hanes t and work my mojo.

I can spin a house in my hands and not break a sweat.

I can raise a garden and put it up.

I am strong when the poo hits the fan.

I used to like to write poetry when I was in my teens. I sing in the shower and can make up a song at the drop of a hat. LOL. I wrote a few skits (short plays) that I used to perform with a traveling drama troupe and I was apart of a dance troupe at one time. Now that I've gotten older, I've sort of laid to rest my artistic abilities and focused more on my academic/professional ones.

Bwahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!! Sounds quite interesting you dirt-ay little boy you! I'm sure you'd love to get right down to the erotic...you Virgo men are the freakiest.

awww, thx pigeon--yeah, I was so hesitant about Photoshop, but found that I was able to learn it pretty quickly (I was a die-hard fan of Jasc Paintshop Pro, and dreaded having to learn another program)

I also did a photo-retouching project--even *I* was amazed at how well it turned out, I almost gave up like 20 times.

I definitely love art, I'm so glad I didn't follow my family's forced hands to go into Nursing. I was doing quite well, and had even been offered a paid ride into the Nursing program, but my heart was so not in it. I felt like I was living a lie.

Graphic design/animation is definitely where it's at for me. I'm learning so much--and to think, this is only the beginning!

So I had my final exam (a project) the other night, in my Illustrator class. I had never even heard of Illustrator before this class, and it def. whipped my butt. The tedious process of vector drawing...Jesus...(-_-) I'm glad it's over...for now...

So, Our final exam/project was to draw a realistic portrait of someone (I chose a random pic from a magazine). We had all 3 hours of class to get it done, and by the night's end, my eyes were crossed and I was sure I finally knew the joys of carpal tunnel...but I was able to make her:



I just checked my grade on it...I got an A 🙂!!!

I still hate Illustrator tho (-_-) LOL
